I'm so happy just booked flights to Vegas for next June, looks like the price drop happened sometime over the last 24hrs. My flights dropped £200 overnight. Good news for people travelling in May & June 09, the prices are now in line with April 09

Wow, this thread is busy this afternoon!!

The West Wing shortcut is a dank dismal corridor and if I was given a room there i'd ask to be moved as it is used a lot!! But its very good for getting to the West Wing entrance without having to go through the casino. It goes from next to the high limit tables to the West Wing entrance.

So where are the doors to get you outside? Are they fire doors or normal doors you can use? Will I find it useful if I have a tower room getting out to the strip?

Its the corridor than runs down the side of where the mansion is from Wolfgang pucks/high limit slots to the west wing bar? I m assuming there are doors to the outside at the bottom?

Sorry for the silly questions, im sure its obvious when I get there but I liked to be forearmed. :D

    Baz,

The doors to get you outside are right opposite the West Wing Bar, just turn left out the doors and you're on the strip in seconds.

The corridor will bring you right out at the West Wing Bar.

Well worth the difference. Two bathrooms (main one is huge), separate bedroom. Well worth the money.

Hmm thats what i was thinking however i have read reviews where the $20 tip worked to get a 1 bedroom upgrade but there was also a post there that said the MGM sig have stopped the upgrades. I would br raging if I paid £360 extra (9 nights) when i could get it for a 20 or 40 dollar tip.

Can you pay for an upgrade at the desk and if so will it cost me a lot more than if i booked it now?

That way i could book the junior suite, try the $20 tip and if it doesnt work just pay for it at the desk?

    Hi Rich,
I second Pebblemax's questions as I am hoping to go June/July 09 and all I can see at mo is price increases....

Where are you travelling from and which airline and which website have you found the great deal? Would really appreciate the info.
    Thanks.
    Steff;)

Hi trigger - only way I can think of is to do two 7 night bookings - but they will be seperate then at check in ask them to join them together - this should mean that you dont have to check out then back in again. This worked for me during my recent trip at The Orleans - what can happen is that your room keys stop working for a time, but they just need to be re-activated.

Was your Orleans booking through a 3rd party? I only ask as the last time I booked with a 3rd party the hotel itself didn't have details of the customer until quite close to the reservation date - the 3rd party buys a block of rooms from the hotel and resells them...close to the date of the booking they advise the hotel of the customer's details.

I don't know how far in advance the hotel gets the info - only mention it as if it's only a few days before that the hotel gets the info, when checking in for the first of 2 7-night bookings they may not have the details of the second one yet.

I agree that 2 bookings is the best option if expedia is giving a better rate than booking direct...just that it may not be possible to link the two reservations at check-in.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
