well looking for 5 nights about £400 i suppose.....

want it to be a nice room, although understand you don't stay in it for long, just don't want a falling apart room stinking of smoke in a loud place! lol! :)

Quite easy to get a decent hotel on the strip for that cost. Just read the guide on page 1 and keep an eye out at fatwallet. Starting from 3 months out the offers will come.

I managed 3 nights at the venetian last year for £80 per night and have booked the palazzo this year for the same. Problem is if theres a weekend in there as the price goes up. However, most mid range hotels should be within reach, inc PH, MGM, TI, Mirage, MB etc.

Depends on exchange rate aswell though.

We stayed at the Tropicana and although it wont be many peoples cup of tea you cant beat it for location for the south end of the strip....I would stay there again if the price was right

Can anyone help, I am considering going to Vegas in June and dont ahve money up front to pay, wanted to book through a Travel Agent and then pay off but I have noticed they charge stupid prices, is there any other way of doing it? I dont have 2 grand up front.

How about a 0% interest credit card? There are lots doing offers at the moment.

Well I'm going to stick up for the MGM Grand, yes it's big but when I'd learnt my way around and the all important West Wing shortcut I loved the place and would have no problem going back there.
ahh cool, well i might wait and not book the hotels til early next year then guys?

we are looking at very very early may (5th - 10th) so bank hols shouldn't effect us...

luxor was looking about £50 a nite which personally i thought sounded not bad...

last year we stayed in ceasers and god it was AMAZING!!!! but can't afford that next year sadly :(

I booked the MGM Grand in January for my stay in May this year, paid deposit for the first night and changed booking three times before I went as the deals kept changing (thanks Trets:T :T ). Just booked using new offer and then cancelled original booking, deposit was paid back instantly on credit card. I think I managed to get the cost down by a fair few £100.00s by the end.

I should add that you need to make sure that the booking you make is able to be cancelled as some you can't!!

    Hope that helps

    How about just saving?

Save as much as you can until March or April and then look to book. The idea is to book it all yourself, flights and hotel separate. When you have the flights saved up look at booking and then pay for them. Then book your hotels from around 4 months out, deposit up front balance upon checkout.

Oh and fatwallet is a godsend, its just saved me £100's on the hotel costs and I dont go until October so there may be more savings. The thread you want is http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/travel-deals/704925/ read the first post and then the last 4 or 5 pages and keep an eye out for when your dates turn up in the new offers posted on the last page. Once you see a hotel you like, follow the link and plug in your dates, check to see you can cancel and get a deposit refund if needed and book it. Then keep checking back, canceling and rebooking as and when the offers get better. Read the T&C's of the offers though.

Read the first page on here and then read it again as it has all the info you need and start saving.

Don't use a travel agent, you will pay over the odds for worse flights and accommodation than you would get DIY.

    Whats the west wing shortcut?

Is that if youre staying in a west wing room or does it apply to everyone?

Luxor is fine, dont get too excited by the inclinator its nothing special.

The darkest dismal corridor I've ever come across in an LV hotel! If I got a room down there I'd be gutted! It's a "short cut" to the strip via the west wing bar.
