Planet Hollywood for location, then Luxor for style/atmosphere (IMHO) then MGM - it always seems to big for me...never really wanted to stay thereplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

PH. Luxor was OK and we used to like south strip, but PH much, much better location I think...have never wanted to stay at MGM as, like MyFathersDaugher, it's always seemed to big to me.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Mayhmmm planet hollywood it seems is far too expensive for May 09, its like 300$ a nite..
other options now include excaliber or imperial palace but they are 3star
luxor was looking the most favourable...not bothered about the distance from the centre of strip as can hop on the bus0 -

We have stayed in the Luxor and The Hotel at Mandalay Bay and I wouldn't rule either out...we walked up as far as New York New York without even thinking...you just get used to it! It is a different experience than staying further up but I always feel that the people staying further up miss out on the bottom of strip hotels. They are all linked so you just keep walking on through!
Have you considered the Monte Carlo for a good location but reasonable prices? It's not a flashy as some but I like it, it has a smaller, homely feel.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
