    Pick up points are:

    Luxor
    Circus circus
    mirage
    TI
    Excalibur
    MGM
    Monte Carlo
    NYNY
    Hilton
    Bellagio
    Mandalay Bay
    Sahara

    Any ideas?

I would think that TI would be closest as it's across the street.

You can park anywhere overnight - you don't have to be a guest...but I don't think you could leave your car where it is (i.e at the Dollar pick up point) as they normally have designated spaces within the parking garage - so you would have to move the car from the Dollar spot and at least move it to a public space within that garage. It should be quite easy to move it from TI to The Palazzo/Venetian (sorry, don't know if they share a garage - but according to vegas.com - Venetian's is a 10-story parking garage, Palazzo's is underground, so guessing that they don't.)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

With people finding cheaper hotel prices on expedia perhaps the first post in this thread should be updated?

I'm interested to see if it's just Signature that's working out cheaper with expedia as it seems that that is the hotel people are getting the good prices on with package deals and Signature doesn't currently have any deals elsewhere that run past 31st August 2008.

It may be that Expedia.co.uk is panicking about rooms it's pre-booked with the hotels to sell onto customers...with the current financial situation perhaps they're letting things go for a lot less than they normally would to entice people in?

I just checked a random one (Tropicana) and it's also coming up less on Expedia at the moment at least for the standard/garden room.

    Interesting.

Still doesn't necessarily suit those who want the flexibility to look around for better deals closer to the time or those who gamble enough to have something taken off their bill...but for those who want to book and be done with it at the moment expedia.co.uk is an interesting option. So strange to say that as historically it's rarely been an interesting option. :)

The reason we booked through expedia (at the time it was the same as booking directly with the sig) is that expedia took the money payment straight away- we didnt want the money sitting in our account and have to pay on the last day (i would have spent it). The only problem with expedia is that we didnt get the credits etc you could booking directly with the sig.

The sig has a deal on now going to the end of Oct and you get meal credits and comps etc- but thats directly through them

Cheers, if you can park anywhere then TI it is, I'll just pick it up and move it to another free space. I just though if I had to move it to The Palazzo it might have been easier to move it from say the Hilton or even MGM rather than have to cross the strip etc.

Do you know if you exit onto the strip or onto the back of TI from the car park?

I just checked my dates with expedia and the direct bookings for MGM and Palazzo are still cheaper.
    Just booked "Believe" tickets :T

You come out on the road that runs perpendicular to the strip at the side of TI which is better than coming directly out onto the strip

We booked with Expedia because the flights were the same price as direct with BMI but we also managed to book the first 3 nights at Signature for just £73 a night. At the time we couldn't get anywhere near this price booking direct.

Can I ask how you booked this last minute please? I'm looking at last minute deals too, to go in the next couple of weeks. I'm not supposed to be going back to next year but OH has said if I can find some flights for under £1100, then we can go..... :T

look on www.mytravel.com then search for a "sun" holiday to las vegas . there is a fly drive option without hotels .

mytravel is the same as thomas cook .

Be warned that if your kettle isn't dual voltage it will take forever to boil. You can buy a kettle (called a hot pot) from Walgreen's for $9.95. We have one that we bought a couple of trips ago when we were tired of waiting for our old kettle to boil. They are in the same section as the coffee makers that ferf mentioned earlier.

Thanks Pebbles, think I'll do that, really don't want to chance not getting my early morning brew; not the happiest of bunnies in the morning ;)
Our first week we are staying at the MGM do you know if there's a Walgreen's near there?
Just need to say this again, I am totally overwhelmed not only by the level of knowledge on this forum, but also just how kind everyone is in taking the time to reply. I think :A
