JulyLots of the hotels are 50-60% full Monday to Thursday so there are going to be plenty of promo's over the next few weeks, Mandalay Bay was very quiet last night!
Fuel has come down a bit this week to $3.93 gallon (wonder if I could take some home!) of course the americans are complaining about the cost!, and the hotels are blaming the high fuel prices on a lack of customers.
Thursday - Sunday still as busy as ever!

Keep the photos coming guys , any really good ones that cover things on the Guide and i will ask if i can put them on the guide (page1) .NVH's excellent shot of the strip is now on post #1 :T :T , thanks for that NVH.
also post me your links ( via PM) for your Trip reports as i have started a new section on post #4 ( page 1 again ) for them .

Ha! We love that. My husband has repeatedly said that when we bring his parents in October (fingers crossed that works out) he's going to tell his Mum that you can hail the truck down on the strip and pick out which 'babe' you want as there's an assortment of 'babes' in the back.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Forget Cher, Lance Burton , danny ganns ect , the most seen face on the strip is the girl on the side of all those trucks. i counted 5 trucks ( one after the other ) past me at a set of traffic lights once.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Sorry if this has already been asked?
Would you take kids? Mine will be 11 and 9 when we plan to visit at Easter in a few years, trip for my 40th.
Can you recomend a tour operator or a hotel?
We love Vegas, have just booked our 5th trip next Easter. Our children are currently 11 & 4, we have been twice without them but always wish they were with us! We have stayed at the Luxor, NYNY, Imperial Palace, Excalibur, & have booked the Exclaibur again for April. Expedia are currently offering fantastic daily room rates at Ex, we have paid £330 for 7 nights, less 10% quidco! Circus Circus was alot cheaper, but slightly away from everything.
We also booked our flights through Expedia, and although we originally planned to leave around 3-4 April, just by bringing the date forward to 31st March, we saved over £600 on the flights! We are flying LHR to San Diego, and then home from LV back to LHR 18 days later.
The Excalibur have recently doubled their pool area, and I can't wait to see it! They also have a medieval fayre in the basement, and your children will love it! Not to mention an on-site Krispy Creme do-nut shop!
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions."Hope for the Best

Hi everyone,
Great thread, have read all the pages in preparation for our weeks stay in November, booked our flight some time back with Virgin (!!!) but only paid £350 each so quite happy with that.
Starting to look at hotels in more detail now, as I am hoping to see some deals starting to appear shortly.
One important factor is that we enjoy fresh air in our hotel room, as opposed to air-conditioning, so we would require rooms with opening windows.
I have checked on trip advisor and the only hotels mentioned there were-
Mirage, Imperial Palace and Excalibur.
Can anybody confirm this fact and/or add to this list ?
Thanks0
