MarchRight folks think I found a decent deal.
Flying direct from London to LA then home from Vegas to London via Chicago.
Total price for 2 is £879.60
That sound good?
One thing i need to know, its american airlines, what are the planes/service like? If they are good i think ill book this fly to LA, 2 days there then on to vegas for 8 days.
AAs planes are great - and best of all if there are only 2 of you travelling, most of the economy cabin has rows of 2 on either side of the plane.
I second Trets comment about the WB studio tour...$45 is incredible value for this and ignoring many things in Vegas, it's our favorite thing we've done on a holiday ever. And not sure if they still have it as it's been a few years, but we went shortly before or shortly after the first Harry Potter film was released and they had a massive exhibit relating to the movie...including the sorting hat. I'm still bitter that it sorted me into Slytherin though.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
AugustTell me about it
SteveSpotted this on Trip advisor. Interesting article, possibility of plenty of cheap rooms to come? Of course there is still the small matter of affording the air fare!
(Can you tell I have work to do that I don't want to do?!)

Done it.............. one thing at least no one can say to me " have you checked this post", coz i have checked EVERY post.:j :j :j :j :j
My head is spinning, my advice ................dont do it, i think it took me between 12 and 14 hours in total, ( 12-14 more hours holiday time as far as i am concerned:) ) next time i will just use the Serach facility
Seriously though:
More pictures the better, it would be nice to put a face to the poster.
The real experts on this site get asked the same question time and time again, you know who you are, tret ferl sew rtc, thier patience in helping is unbelivable, again the Serach faclity could be used a lot more by people.
As you progress through the thraeds with hindsite in mind (having read the last page of this particular book), it is nice to see the hotel deals coming through and relaiseing that id you keep an eye on this site you will get the best deal avaialble.
Virgin flights , well lets see what comes for next year, but i feel we will all have to be evem more imaginative on ways og getting there, ( Japanese airlines!!).
FAO would be of great benifit.
Trip reports, again lacking but superb when they do appear, and thank you all to links to other aresa to read trip reports, think i have read 20 or so and love them all.
Food..... so much to digest
I could go on anw would but i do need to drag my eyes away from the screen for a while, coz did i tell you ............. "i go to Las vegas on Monday" :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j ,
But like a fool i am away camping in an hour until Sunday afternoon, so really need to get my act together. I will try to put sme specific points on my next post (Sunday after camping).
I will attempt a TR and photos etc on my return when i should be able to point to specifics that i have picked up on the site and actually used.
So before i go camping thank you to all who have helped me, you have saved me money and i am sure will greatly enhance my pen ding holiday to:T :T :T :T :T :T "LAS VEGAS BABY"
Regards

God I'd love to get stuck into one of those BBQ meals!!!!
My wife wouldn't touch that though as she has to pick all the fat off everything and it has to be inspected before she eats anything. So I wont be going to that.
Has anyone been to the VoodooSteak and also the lounge upstairs at the Rio?
We aren't really into bars and stuff really or clubs or anything too trendy or fashionable but we would like a meal and then to see the strip from the top. We never felt uncomfortable at any of the places we went in Vegas last year as it seems everyone is made welcome everywhere. Just wondering what kind of place its like?
Same with the bar at the top of the Mandalay bay too?
I sound like a right boring sod don't I? Anyway I'm sure you get what I mean.
Also what cocktails would you recommend?
Ive got loads of photos, Ill see if I can post a few.0 -
