I know none of you like Virgin but as you know I plan to use them next year when we return to Vegas purely because I have Miles+money to use,we want a direct flight and it's easier to get to Gatwick than it is to go to Manchester from where we live
Anyway I'm not going to go into who would be cheaper better to fly with I just want to know when would be the best time for us to purchase our flights.
Last year we went end Oct and I bought my flights in March just nearly missing a cheaper price by a few hours because I couldn't get online to purchase them.Anyway I ended up paying £467 for my return Gatwick to Vegas flights.
I notice that at the moment Virgin are only offering flights up to mid June at £662 which by reconing should make my intended flights come up at around end Aug(we want to go end Sept)
Should I get in straight away or wait for say Jan sale and take a risk that they will drop in price.
What do you think would be a cheap price to pay for a flight end Sept 2009 and returning 10 days later at beg of Oct

As trets says look from 11 months out, if you find a price you are happy with (about £100 for me:T )book it. If you book it stop looking, if you leave it and wait for a sale that may never happen and they go up  .

A cheap price is all relative, I paid £290 when I booked 11 months ahead for april 08...never looked again so no idea if i could of got it cheaper but I doubt it. For next year I have booked with KLM for £370 going to LA, as all virgin prices were £450 plus even with M+M.

As I say I paid £467 in March for an end Oct flight 2 days before that they were at £369 but I couldn't get through to book for love or money despite trying for more than 24 hours.
I will watch the prices and book when I think the price is reasonable enough

i know there's obviously a few different planes on these journeys, but I've never been in version 1 on the vegas route...

last two times outbound from Gatwick i've had version 3:

Lorraine, flights don't come out till 330 days beforehand so for flying out at the end of September returning in October, the flights won't be available until the first or second week of November.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    August
    Hi all,

    Thanks for all your help.

I have decided, one hotel stop and staying in TI................no more changes ( unless a killer deal comes up:) )

In true MSE style i have a price of $1265 plus tax, is that the best deal available?

    Thanks again

    Steve

    Hi all,

I "think", i know what i want............. It takes me 20 mins to decide what i want from a McDonalds menu so with all the advice and guidence available on this site it has made my chosing murder. I have told my missus " ok this one is deffo the one " so many times ,at some point i think i have chosen eto stay at every hotel on and off the strip at various differnt times...:(

However, having looked at Location, pool, price and facilities my preference in order are TI, Paris, and Harrah's, for a final double check i would value your opinion on these.

We are not driven by the room standard as we will be out most of the time, but do want a nice pool combined with the option of walking locally.
We are going 4 to 14 August and have the following prices:

    TI $1230
    Paris $1456
    Harrahs's $1270

Also whilst i am on rush..........we are flying with AA and cannot understand their web site to see if we have in seat videos consoles or not, does any body know?

    Cheers in advance

Are you there ten nights if so you are paying an average of about 150 a night or about £77. I guess thats not bad for the TI. I try to stay for an average of £50 to £55 a night but i usually have to stay off strip for a couple of nights to do it.
