seen the $20 trick mentioned quite a few times, seems very good according to the websites,

Does it work, has anyone been successful!

    Thanks

Its worked for me at Alladin (when it was Alladin) Mirage, Wynn, Luxor, IP, Tropicana, Caesars and Excalibur.
I have tried and failed at MGM (they said they had no suites) and Bally's

To be honest I have been to Vegas so many times now I dont bother as I am only in my room to sleep and generally when I arrive I want to get checkin over and doen with as quicly as possibel as long as I get a non smoking room and ideally on a hight floor though I am not bothered about a strip view I am happy

MGM Grand 3 nights July 14th $282 in total (or $177 if you book it for 2 and forget to mention your boys we have done this before) each link has slilghty diffeernt freebies. You need to be a players club card holder for this rate and the third link allows you to get this online and then you cal collect at the desk before check in though I have never been asked for mine ina bout 10 visitis there.

Just another Ellis Island recomendation, their steak and egg breakfast is a real bargain at $3.99 and its available way before most buffets are open so its good for us Brits who wake early. I tried this 2 days ago prior to my drive round Arizona and South California where it is really really hot, 108F in Wickenburg today.
I thought Vegas seemed quiet last week I think the high fuel prices are starting to bite.

If you "forget" about the boys, Bellagio is $477 for 3 nights......about £80 a night.

Id bracket Bellagio with Wynn, Palazzo/Venetian at the top end, with PH, MGM, Mirage, Paris the tier below.

A players club card is like a tesco club card you put it in the slots when you play and records what you do or you give it to the pit boss if you are on the tables and he records it. The casino is prepared to pay you for this, I generally stay at MGM resorts and use their card the most, every point you gain on the slots gives you 1c in credit in multiples of $5 you can use this as bonus slot play but you can not get comps with slot play (unless you are a high roller slot player $5 and above) on table play you are rated straight away depending on the property how much you play and how clever you are about playing an amount based on what they expect you tohave lost will be recorded and you wioll get this in credit it can be that you use it against your room rate or for show tickets or even for a meal. I managed to get a 5 night stay and all meals comped and front row tickets for a show once at NYNY I did not bet more than $25 per hand and I actually walked away $1100 UP. Playing for comps is dumb but maximising your comps on you chosen paly is smart. I could go on about this and Vegas all day but I am new and dont want to step out of line. If anyone wants any help on anything Vegas please email me and I will be happy to do what I can. sew109@yahoo.co.uk

    Thanks

see the links on page one for websites onthe $20 trick.

worked very well at Caesars this year , and has also worked at THE HOTEL and Mirage for me.
ok what is players club card

it also worth signing up for the players club card of as many casinos as possible as you often get vouchers or free bets just for signing up. also if you have any plans of a return visit you will be ready equipt to take advantage of any "Players club card only" hotel deals .
I'm going midweek Mon 14 July for 3 nights.

Prices I have so far are
    Planet Hollywood approx £55
    MGM Grand approx £73
    Paris approx £50

My budget is around £100 a night.

    Any thoughts/tips appreciated

as i mention in the guide , room prices are on strictly supply and demand basis. so the only way to know what is the going rate is to price up some offers for yourself using the offer links on Post #1. there is a long list there to cover everything but these links should cover pretty much te majority of offers.
