I'm sitting here, 5 am, reading these threads along with the Orlando ones feeling really sorry for myself.
First time in over 20 years I have no holiday planned or even have one to look forward to on the horizon.
Cannot fly at present, health reasons, looks like motoring to South of France for me, will spend more, rude people and loads of mossies.
    'OH! woe is me!!!:rotfl:
Just another thing to cheer me up sitting in front of my wide open patio doors sun streaming in and its bloody freezing!
Now what else can I moan about!
I know, I will go to Poundland later and spend a £1 on the Roc aftershave balm, coz it sends my silver beard orange and gives everyone else a Larf!

cheer up , it could be worse you can at least afford to go somewhere . a lot of people are feeling the pinch and ending up at Butlins I imagine.

i too have nothing planned , although i want to go away somewhere before the year is out, but if Airline tickets keeping going skyward in price , might be Ireland only , cause at least the flights there are still free before taxes.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Booked my flights a couple of days ago, flying to LA on the 11th December, spending a few nights there and then going to drive to Vegas, returning from Vegas on the 22nd December. Flights were £394 each which I don't think is bad at all (with NWA).

Going to wait until a bit nearer the time to see if I can get any deals on hotels, looking to stay in either the MGM or NYNY, the deals at the moment only go up to September time, so I'll give it a few months.

Cannot wait, although its 6 months away I'm counting down the days already!

sounds like you got a good price on the flights .

Glad to hear it - have never looked into staying there so I wasn't sure how good of a deal it was but it sounded OK.

Somehow I got made a VIP at travelzoo so now I (allegedly) get the Top 20 deals before the non-VIPs...so will try to post any good ones here when I see them.
