Hey guys,
I have enjoyed reading through all of the threads about Vegas and the chance of upgrading to a nicer hotel suite. I actually couldnt find any advice on this subject tho.
I am going to Vegas on June 20th for 10days. On June 21st I will be getting married at the Little White Wedding Chapel. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on being able to Upgrade to an awesome room, even if it is just for that night??? We are staying at the Circus Circus hotel (I know, not the most glamourous hotel on the strip but as we are eloping and not one person from either family knows about it we have to fund it all ourselves.) We did quite well with Flights and also the Hotel cost too. If there was any chance of living in Luxury just for the "Wedding Night" then that would be perfect.
Please get in touch.

In all honesty I dont think CC has an awesome room, If you have got it cheap it may be best to just book a room at a top hotel for one night leaving most of your stuff at CC, but as it is a sat night and very close it may not be a cheap option.0 -

Congrats on your upcoming wedding - how exciting to elope!
I have to agree with the others - not sure if CC has any particularly nice rooms - I mean no disrespect to the place, but I really don't think they have much to choose from...all the upgrades on frontdesktip.com were from manor rooms to tower rooms.
If you are booked in a manor room be aware that these rooms are in separate buildings (sort of motel style) that are behind the main building...if you can upgrade out of these I would - just based on what I have heard.
I'm not sure how long ago you booked but if you booked direct with the hotel it may be worth checking out some of the deals available to see if you could get a nicer hotel for not a lot more money. I understand why you have to keep costs down but it can't hurt to have a look at least...even if you find that CC prices have gone down and get them to adjust the charges.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

booked flights, hotels are going to be booked at a later date...(waiting for offers!) we are heading out in september and my girlfriend wants to see cher @ caesars, whilst I have been told it is essential to see "O" (@ the bellagio).
Is it best to get tickets direct from the venue....has anyone some reliable money saving tips for show tickets? I know there are various agencies that offer tickets to all vegas shows, but how are their seats/prices compared to bookign direct with the hotels?
There isn't much talk on here about shows, any input would be greatly appreciated!0 -
I have been told by three of my friends that "O" is simply stunning, and if I walk out of the theater and I'm not impressed...they will pay for my tickets! My one friend see'sa lot of shows and says that "O" is the best show he's ever seen in his life.
I don't suppose theres any websites that do promotional codes for show tickets? I guess they know they're going to sell out anyway, so they dont really need to lower the price for anyone - but its worth a try!0 -

Last year they did a Summer of Cirque promotion for Vegas Cirque shows - $50 per ticket...the only show that was excluded was O...even Love was included...the offer appeared mid-July if I remember correctly...no idea if it will crop up again and the $50 seats did sell out pretty quickly.
They were available through the Ticketmaster TMDEAL code:
http://www.ticketmaster.com/channel_partner/?brand=tmdeal (search zipcode 89109)
If you sign up for the weekly top 20 on travelzoo.com they usually include the good show offers - or you can just bookmark their Vegas shows website and check it regularly:
http://shows.travelzoo.com/las-vegas-shows/
They might be the closest to a website that compiles show offers, but they don't always have everything out there - I think ticketmaster has a better Spamalot offer than travelzoo at the moment, for example.
also www.goldstar.com does special offers but there's a charge on each ticket -normally $6-$7.
FWIW - we loved O. I think it was my favorite Cirque show of Love, Ka, Mystere and O. It is stunning, I think...some people don't like Cirque at all though...different strokes and all.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
AprilWhen I posted about uncomfortable seats I had forgotten all the rest, but this is a fantastic post about the negatives of flying with Virgin.
Locking themselves away is exactly what they do!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I laughed so much at the thought of you in a toilet for hours with your feet up, tell me thats not true!!!!!
nope guilty as charged I'm afraid. i was so uncomfortable that i decided to stand at the very rear of the plane. ( close to our seats) after about half hour i noticed that of 4 toilets there , only one maybe two were being used at any one time , i was so angry with Virgin that i thought i would sit in there till someone banged the door, but they never did , and the toilet next door was no hive of activity either.
i did my Nintendo brain training and completed 200 lines of tetris a few times in there as well, hell it was space not being used so i thought why not.
if you were inclined to join the mile club , you could have pulled it off no problem back thereBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Marchhell it was space not being used so i thought why not.
A valid point and one I have never considered. Very funny, though I'm not laughing at your discomfort, of course.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MayOh, no, there goes my Jan. flight from Stansted to Vegas. AA announce that the route to JFK is being axed. Just have to wait till they contact us about alternatives. Well, AA had accomplished what they set out to do, bankrupt any other airline that attempted to offer an alternative, and done just that, they bu**er off. DisgraceThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Thanks for everyone who responded to my post the other night.
It seems like ages away that we'll be in Vegas, a whole year to look forward to it and plenty of time to plan, replan, plan again, etc etc.
As for the advice already, i take on board the virgin 747 comments, but by the ned of the year i should have in excess of 100,000 flying club miles so would be foolish not to use them to subsidise some of the costs. At least i should have enough for an upper class flight, while the future mrs WestHamDaz can slum it in economy
As for our guests, we were plannig on giving the date to anyone who ancied coming over and let book their own thing and they can stay where they like and not feel they have to stay at the same place as us.
Our wedding is to be at the chapel of flowers up near the stratosphere i believe. So any reviews of that would be appreciated.
You'll no doubt see me pop up on here over the next few months once things start to take shape. the info on here has proved interesting and useful, long may it continue.
many thanks
