MayOK here's a brill deal for those of you flyig with Northwest or an affiliate. I just picked up a 60 day trial membership to Worldclubs, it gets you and up to 2 guests access to all the NWA lounges, as well as KLM Crown lounge. So we are leaving LHR on the 10th. Get access to KLM Crown and enjoy free booze and buffet, as well as showers, bla, bla, bla. 3 hour layover in Detroit so go to NWA Worldclub there and enjoy more free stuff. On our return from LAS spend some time in the Worldclub there, then 2 hour layover in St. Paul, more Worldclub access. On arrival back at LHR access to KLM Crown for a shower and some breakfast. Cost of this little beauty, $85!!! Here is the link
Now you have to phone up to join if you are in the U.K. and you have to join worldperks, it's free, and they join you up when you apply for Worlclub. you will need a U.S. address to join, but just make one up, and you can have the card sent to the U.K. They will also email you a letter of introduction to show to the lounges if you are traveling soon. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Hey guys,
I have enjoyed reading through all of the threads about Vegas and the chance of upgrading to a nicer hotel suite. I actually couldnt find any advice on this subject tho.
I am going to Vegas on June 20th for 10days. On June 21st I will be getting married at the Little White Wedding Chapel. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on being able to Upgrade to an awesome room, even if it is just for that night??? We are staying at the Circus Circus hotel (I know, not the most glamourous hotel on the strip but as we are eloping and not one person from either family knows about it we have to fund it all ourselves.) We did quite well with Flights and also the Hotel cost too. If there was any chance of living in Luxury just for the "Wedding Night" then that would be perfect.
Please get in touch.

Just checking in from the Doubletree in LA, boy this thread has been busy while i've been away.
Will give you more details next week when i'm back, but my reccomendation for grand canyon tour would be Scenic Airlines, very professional in what they do and a great tour of the Canyon itself. We did the deluxe tour, will post a link when I get back and recovered from the jet lag.
Had a great time in Vegas, just not very MSE style!!!!
See y'all soon.

Hey guys
booked flights, hotels are going to be booked at a later date...(waiting for offers!) we are heading out in september and my girlfriend wants to see cher @ caesars, whilst I have been told it is essential to see "O" (@ the bellagio).
Is it best to get tickets direct from the venue....has anyone some reliable money saving tips for show tickets? I know there are various agencies that offer tickets to all vegas shows, but how are their seats/prices compared to bookign direct with the hotels?
There isn't much talk on here about shows, any input would be greatly appreciated!0 -

a lot of shows use the services of a 3rd party website for online sales (usually ticketmaster) . from my experiance there is little to no difference in price from ticketmaster to a casinos own website.
Tix4tonight have had "O" for sale at $108 but not everyday and they sell fast. i very much doubt You will get a discount for Cher where ever you buy from so why not simply go through caesars own website . whoever you buy from you will have to present a printed voucher and the credit card you payed for tickets with to the showroom box office no later than 1 hour before the show starts.
book early if you want a good seat for Cher as i expect she is the hot ticket this summer , we were gutted we could not see her in April . Cher, Elton John and Bette Middler will be rotating in Celine Dion's old slot , so there will be lot less performances of each than what Celine Dion used to have.
.
by the way if you cannot get "O" at a price that suits try Le Reve at the Wynn, a simply stunning show and something i would pay full price to see again . Travelzoo has a reasonable upgrade offer here
http://shows.travelzoo.com/las-vegas-shows/410055?sef=done&ptl=&rating=
and there have been discounts available at certain times in the past for advanced bookingsBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
Is it better to book the Grand Canyon tours online now or while we're there? Are we looking at over £100 each for a helicopter tour?
Has anyone been to the House of Blues gospel brunch? It sounds brilliant, and we're definitely planning to go.2016 diet challenge 16lbs/42lbs lost

i won't pay £275 for that flight again let alone £725.
for me it is about how painful is the alternative . to me adding a day to trip or losing a day in Vegas to fly into LA ( and then drive up to Vegas) would not be a big deal, in fact it has it upsides. . but like others have said that is my personal choice.
i am not crazy about connecting flights either , but i really enjoying driving in the USA, so unless i can fly My Travel or BMI for a price that is right , thats what i will do next time.
If you can endure the 10 hours on that 1960 designed cattle truck that is Virgin 747 to Vegas , then you are getting a lot of plus points . I.E short traveling time , less risk of luggage going astray ect. but £725  would be way way to much to pay for a what is a very poor product for me.what are BMI quoting for their flight ???
it's not just the comfort of the seats , it's the fact your forced to sit next to total strangers if your a couple , that you get pinned to your seat for and hour when they lock you in with the food tray. okay in seat entertainment is substitutable if you plan ahead, but when you paying good money , i expect things like that to work. and i expect that if they sell the flight as free drinks included , that i get free drinks for the whole of the flight not just the first few hours ( where the seatbelt sign is on for a fair amount of time) .
The staff have a difficult job what with so many grumbling people i know , but they lock themselves away in little groups in the compartments in the bulkheads with the curtains closed , then look at you like you are something scraped off their shoe when you have the nerve to ask them for something, that and flippant sarcastic remarks.
if i had to do it again full price i would need a extra seat for the guy with the gun to my head lol:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . but i would book a seat at the back, because there are four toilet cubicles at the back , and i managed to sit a whole 3 1/2 hours in one without it being noticed last trip, cause it was night flight , and there is not as much toilet traffic there. i popped out for a few second every so often to find no one waiting , so just went back in and but my feet up.
When I posted about uncomfortable seats I had forgotten all the rest, but this is a fantastic post about the negatives of flying with Virgin.
Locking themselves away is exactly what they do!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I laughed so much at the thought of you in a toilet for hours with your feet up, tell me thats not true!!!!!0
