We want to use our Virgin miles to fly home in Upper next year, so im trying to calculate how many we need or need to buy. Im aware that Vegas and back is around 10,000, but im totally confused about New York and San Francisco. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
September11,604 miles. If you are on an N class ticket you will only get half the miles, any other code gets you 1xmiles, if you are VS silver it is an extra 25% on top of base miles
I've no idea what class our tickets are, but they are the bog-standard, economy, cheapest available online. :rotfl: :rotfl:Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

we did in March.
A couple of photos of our room here:

The rooms are quite dark and so the photos are a bit blurry...basically the first one is the bedroom area and the second one is on the opposite side of the wall - a lounge sort of area...not completely separate, but on 3 sides.
The room was nice enough - a bit worn but nothing that put us off at all - we always wanted to stay in the pyramid and were glad that we got a chance to. The spa tub was brilliant - wish our normal room had one as I would use it every single day.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SeptemberWe had a spa tub in Mandalay Bay at Christmas. I was SO impressed. It was very noisy though, i was worried the neighbours would be woken up when i was "tubbing" at 4am! :rotfl: :rotfl:Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

SeptemberI went to Vegas last November and had a great time. So good in fact, I just had to book again this year! We have planned a bit of a road trip and hopefully it should all work out okay. Flights booked from Heathrow to San Diego and car booked for collection from the airport. We will drive on day one (29th Sept) to Las Vegas so my wife can see Barry Manilow at the Hilton on the 1st October. After a further couple of nights we will drive back to san Diego ready for the Miramar US Navy Airshow on the Saturday. Sea World on the Sunday. Return flight on the Monday. Airline ticket cost £280 and Manilow was $170 via Seetickets. Just need to book hotels etc now!
Not looking forward to a 6 hour stop in Detroit but at that price, sacrifices have to be made!
Cracking thread by the way - very useful last year and proving the same this year also:D
PS. Used Quidco to get savings on flights & car (Lastminute.com) and parking at Heathrow (Purple Parking)0 -
Hi Just booked for my wife and I and 2 friends to go to Vegas next April. Any thoughts on where we should stay and any other tips?
Thanks0 -

Just checking in from the Signature. Used the good old TC flight from Manchester. Left on time (as always when I've used it), arrived early (as allways when I've used it) and the new 33inch legroom is spot on!!!!
Food was more than adequate and with the plane only 90% full quite a choice of seats. Layout is 3x3x3 for the main section, oing to 2x3x2 for the last 8 rows or so. Usual 45min wait at customs though definitely quicker than usual and immigration staff were a lot more friendly..obviously the change in policy has come into affect and the wikciming of visitors to the USa is a high priority.
Excellent value for the last minute booker.
Signature as good as ever, high floor with balcony and a view out towards our next Vegas stopping spot ..the Vdara.0
