Ok think Im gona scrap the Sahara after what Ive read here!!! Im now thinking of The Tropicana just for the thurs - saturday, what do people think of that place??

personally i would think twice about the Tropicanna at the moment. LVA had a QOD on the place recently, due to recieving a large amount of complaints about how the place is being run down. The rooms were always badly rated , but now it seems all but the most serious maintanace is being skipped there. plus they are cutting back on staffing ect .

if money is tight have you considered somewhere like The Orleans as alternative off strip ???

Beyond the new Encore and fashion show mall , there is little to merit idle exploring now . The Peppermill / Fireside lounge is great for drinks and food, but Circus Circus , Rivera don't merit walking to IMO and Sahara and Strat are best reached by Monorail and road. The strech of Las Vegas Boulavard between Stratospere and downtown get more seedy every vist. unless you like dive bars and sex shops , the only things to temp you there are the wedding chapels .

I can only find contact numbers - as weird as it sounds i think there may have been bed bugs and i wanted to contact them about it!!! would prefer to email as its going to be weird to explain over the phone  (i'm being serious im not totally jet lagged!)

Sorry I can't help with an email address, but can you give more details about the bed bugs please? We are booked in there later this month, and don't want to leave it too late to change if that is a problem there.

Honestly dont worry about it, its just that both my husband and i have been bitten about 20 times each, every morning we woke up with fresh bites, we thought it could have happend when out and about but the one night we didnt leave the hotel room and still woke up with bites, i just wanted to mention it to them - but we have no proof. I woud certainly stop there again if the deal was right!! Can you see why i would prefer to email them about it rather than call them - i sound doo lally!!! :o

The hotel is HUGH but we had great fun there - i loved the rainforrest cafe for their cocktails!

Hope you have a good time :T

Yeah! First trip of the year to Vegas now fully booked. Direct flight and a week at the Signature. Was tempted to try to Palazzo for a few nights but not tempted enough to miss out on the daily gym session. Had to laugh at the Trump Towers current offer. 2 nights for the price of 3 with their "One more night" offer. Only catch is it works out more expensive than just booking the same room for three nights (and thats after the 33.3% price reduction)!
    Hi wdyw,

Nice one about finalising your trip. Did you get a good deal on The Signature?

I am umming and ahhing between Wynn, The Signature and The Palazzo for the last five nights of our trip - I definately do not want to switch hotels during these last five nights,so I have to make a decision and stick to it I suppose. We stayed at Wynn in 2005 and I fell in love with the tranquility of the place, but both Signature & Pallazo keep calling me!!!

    Anyone have an opinion?

Depends what passport you hold and if you have ever had a criminal record.
