Before I cam to work I emptied bottom deck of the dishwasher and put the roasting tin to soak...I'm dreading going home; the kitchen is a pit...

Thank you Honey Bear4 -
Trying to keep up with round.
So far this morning I have
- checked finances for the coming month; practised my juggling; checked that I'm getting the best possible interest on easy access savings
- written a card to my DDiL, which I must not forget to post*
- written a note of condolence to an acquaintance who had to send her elderly dog over the rainbow bridge last week
- thought what to write on a *postcard to our elderly friends, but not actually done it yet
- eaten breakfast; managed to upset DH by asking what I thought was a simple, innocuous question but in his mind wasn't
- washed, showered, dressed
- loaded the DW, put away clean stuff that DH couldn't/wouldn't; tidied and S&S'd the kitchen
- PUPA in the LR
- filled 3 bags for the CS, thereby decluttering the utility and the dining table - now I must deliver them (at the same time as *posting my cards, since the postbox is about 50yd away)
- polished the sink in the utility
- ordered a grooming comb for Rosie
- dusted all through upstairs
- watered all the houseplants - there are a lot of them
Rosie has just gone out for her walk with L. I need coffee next, then I'll write the other card and go out to the CS and postbox.
Still on my to-do list:
- 2 emails
- check phone charges and possibly switch
- ring about a parking permit which never arrived.
Catch up later xxx5 -

Round 1 completed, plus I have cleaned the DW filter (DW itself is okay as fairly new - I gave the seals a wipe over), cleaned the work surface in the utility & the cat bowl (big cat is a messy eater!) and took the car out for a trip to the car wash!
Lunch now and put on tonights dinner. Then I may put on my gardening scruffs....
DH & DS are on their way - eta 6pm (but probably later as they will have to stop)
7 -
Front room and yoga room vacuumed and surfaces cleaned; wm drawer cleaned out; dw seals cleaned (🤢 considering I rinse everything before it goes in the dishwasher and clean it on a hot wash with soda crystals monthly they were truly gross! 😳); kitchen table cleaned; kitchen sink cleaned, descaled and polished; surfaces wiped.
That will have to do for now - I'll vacuum and mop the kitchen floor tonight after dinner. I need to get sorted now then pick up my grandbaby 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

Calendar updated.
P & S called for coffee and a natter. P had somehow put his phone on aeroplane mode so I sorted that for him. That's my good deed for the day.
I've been to Mr Al, done a fortnightly shop and put it all away.
Optician's phoned - I've phoned them back and made an appointment for my eye test next week.
Watched a bit of Wimbledon while eating my lunch.
Now watching TdF. I've put my socks on. I'm wearing my slippers. It's July!!!! Why is it either twot or cold? What happened to 'just right'. Thinking of changing my name to Goldilocks 🤣

Isn't it funny how the big cat hasn't bothered me to feed him at 5am like he does DH? If he doesn't get up, he bites him! Sometimes this can be at 3 or 4am!! And DH gets up!! 🤦♀️ He (the cat) has him well trained!! 😂 I don't put up with that behaviour, so he doesn't do it to me 😂 Funnily enough, he hasn't starved to death either 😂We have a cat who did the same thing at 4.00am for several years until we realised that neither of us had slept through the night since we adopted her. She now spends the nights in her own room (my office) which is kitted out with a litter tray and water bowl, and has an automatic feeder that pops up at 4.00am and 6.00am to give her three biscuits. It also has a couple of cat beds and an electric blanket in the winter, and we give her half a packet of f3l!x at bedtime, which she loves. We've both slept a lot better since we set that system up!Sorry I didn't contribute last week, but other than keeping on top of the washing up, a bit of vacuuming and not much of that either, and clearing out the fridge I really didn't Fly last week. Back on it this week.Hacked a few tomato plants about that have been very neglected, found a few volunteer tomato plants in various pots and troughs, which I suspect is because I make compost out of our food peelings and things that have Gone Too Far, wrenched the garlic that has survived the winter out of the pots they were in because they're not doing well but will be edible, and picked my first bunch of sweetpeas. Then spent the rest of the day working at my desk which has been very neglected for months and I need to catch up and do a lot of forward planning, which fortunately I rather enjoy.
Better is good enough.6
