No , depends on how determined we are to waken them up and point them at the problem

That's what we have been doing for the last 5 years

Outcome somewhat disappointing! So we need to do different? Louder? More?

There's actually been a constant flow of written questions tabled to LUHC Minister from MP's asking when the Code will be re-issued. Two came from Sir Greg Knight after the Call for Evidence consultation closed. The Minister's reply was always the same "in due course."

Since MP's seem accepting of the Minister's repetitive useless response perhaps we need to voice louder and more often that responses such as this are completely unacceptable from a Minister and their Department.

Louise Haigh is now the Secretary of State for Transport, whilst Jacob Young is now unemployed having lost his seat; perhaps, a letter to Ms Haigh may push things along quicker.

I would have thought that it was the ministers in the MHCLG. ?

The Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, chairs the board.

Other members are: Jim McMahon OBE MP, Minister of State. Matthew Pennycook MP, Minister of State.

I believe that Sir Greg Knight MP is now retired and didn't stand for re-election

It's (thankfully) NOTHING to do with the Dept for Transport. Angela Rayner and other DLUHC/MHCLG ministers should be lobbied.
Not forgetting that Sir Keir states ....

    "People first, government second"

Where does Angela Rayner stand on this ?

We will have to remind Angela if she forgets it's "People first, government second"

The full strapline is something like People first, government second, but above all do nothing except prevaricate. waffle and waste money.

Angela will not have time to pick up on such a trivial matter, especially if it comes with a venomous BPA/IPC lobby.

Who is the minister now responsible?

As previously said by Gr1pr Angela Rayner is the Secretary of State for Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (previously named DLUHC). As SoS she is responsible the buck stops with the SoS so she will have to give the CoP time even if she were to see it as @Protest says a "trival matter".
