July 2024 Grocery Challenge

I am always so impressed by the consistency of budgeting that people on this thread achieve - very inspiring.
I have just plotted out July on a sheet of A4 and added in the dates we are out and won't be eating from our grocery budget. (Very high tech budgeting technique 🤣)
On this basis I am going to set our grocery budget and then set aside a suitable amount for our "going out" eating.
please can you put me down for
£300.00 for July6 -
£40 per week still for me please.
Sorry to be late.
I've already spent around £20 of this week budgetDecluttering campaign 2023

First spend of the month today at Sainsby's on a red onion, 2x tissues, mushrooms and pak choi which came to £4.56. Then I went to Mr T's for some baking ingredients and to stock up on some veggie protein, the Baking budget spent £8.45 on thyme, milk, plain flour, caster sugar and icing sugar, the tofu and tempeh came to £9.05.
That makes my new GC total £13.61/£248 and the Baking Budget new total £8.45/£25.

Morning,
First spend for July of £4.58 for milk from the milkman. We seem to be getting through our milk lately, and I need to increase the quantity I buy on my weekly supermarket shop, as it is cheaper. This leaves me with £295.42 for the month.

I’m late but put me on for
£450
that’s to go from 29th June to 11th August.Family of 4, my son is now on 3 meals a day. We go away on 12th August and I really want to keep spending to a minimum
£162/450 spent already. The freezer is full. Next big shop is next Wednesday 10th:money::rotfl::T6 -
Well I have done my big shop for the month. The freezer is groaning with bought good quality steak burgers and brioche buns in addition to the F&V I major on at the SM. Who am I kidding? it was biscuit and cracker stock up day, too. We will run out of digestives again as there was only one double pack, and none of the philly cheese or regular coleslaw, and I have accidentally picked up fat free greek-style yogurt, as there was no regular. I will have to weave that FFGS Yogurt into cooking, I think.
Of the £200+ bill, £81.76 is stores (store cupboard and freezer) and £78.04 groceries. £12.35 does not count as it is towards the community lunch I will be reimbursed for (for 15 people on Friday) , along with £6.57 for pets and livestock (cat litter) and £25.78 that comes out of the treats and entertainment pot.
The empty shelves in various places also means more top up shops from the local coop, where the GS yogurt is 30p a kilo more expensive. I also bought paracetamol and laxative (I am consuming virtual bucket-loads of pain relief at night, hence the laxatives). £7 for laxatives!! Goodness me, I hope this is a temporary thing. The doctor has now prescribed morphine and so these other things should diminish too
I pretty much stuck to my list (except one jar of mango chutney that was on offer). I do have a free one-month Prime trial until 10 July, so I might buy one or two extra things for the free delivery before that ends. I also reseve the right to remove one or two stores things as we have a motorhome trip planned and that is hols for us (and includes what we eat!).
Right, with the carpy weather here, I have tome to take the 72 toilet rolls I have in the dining room to the food bank now!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Hi Elsiepac
Could you put me down for £220 again please?
(of which I have already spent £32.72, £13 of it on sodastream syrups, but they keep for ages and do save money in the long run. I do make my own cream soda one as well, but that's just vanilla essence, sugar, lemon and water, so not too messy)
thank you,
Diminua
