Thankyou for the new thread @elsiepac.
I've decided to increase my budget for July because I think I need to eat more protein as well as more fresh fruit while so many that I like are in season so I'm going to try an average of £8 per day and see how I get on.£248 for my July GC, £25 for my July Baking Budget and £100 for the Bulk Buy fund please.
That covers all food for one vegetarian woman, all household necessities and basic toiletries.

Thank you for the new thread @elsiepac
£300 for July please.
This is for two adults and three kids, the kids eat more than meAlso includes all cleaning and toiletries. Will be away for 4 nights this month so that’s why I’ve lowered it, hoping we can manage on £300 to be able to have a slight increase next month when the kids are home and will be wanting ice creams etc.
Take care all x

@goldfinches thanks for those articles on sunscreen. I'm going to check out the cost of the Nivea cans in Savers today. I'm heading back to New York in a couple weeks where it's actually summer so I'll need some resources. AND, my niece is getting married in Arizona in August! 😩 They had highs of 48C there last summer. Mr. Jings and I may just melt. Thankfully buildings will be air conditioned, but still.
Thank you for the new thread @elsiepac. As mentioned above, it'll be a short GBP month for me as I leave Scotland on July 14th to head back to NYC. What Mr. Jings does after that is his business. He's flying out on July 31st to meet me in NY. Could you please put me down for:£150 July 1 - 14 and $300 July 14 - 31.
We're coming back to the UK toward the end of August so we'll have the hybrid month again.6 -

@JingsMyBucket - Arizona in August will be brutal - do not plan on going outside except in an air-conditioned vehicle. I have been to conventions there at that time. No one left the hotel for anything except air-conditioned sightseeing vehicles - but it is too warm to get out of the vehicle and walk around. Limit your sightseeing to what you can see from the car or from a tour bus. Why people plan weddings like that I can't understand at all. It is very selfish of them to plan an expensive wedding that guests can't really enjoy even if they did get the venue cheap (hotels are desperate for visitors that time of year). I would recommend finding a way out of it - sending a more expensive or unusual gift or offering to show them around your home town on a visit or anything to avoid August in Arizona.4

Having just passed the half way point in the year, a quick look and my total so far is running at 49.29% of my annual budget. Not good. December may have to be funded from the freezer at this rate. £1478.84 out of £3000 spent.
The garden has turned up trumps for some things (berries mostly, so far) but the normal things I grow are struggling so it isn't looking goodSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £2664.85 out of £6000 after March (44.41%)

Thanks @Soontobeoap, we are not alone! Even @PipneyJane had to increase her monthly budget by £20 this year. I think when some of the more experienced of our gang are struggling to stay within long established systems, it must be just awful for people without these techniques in place.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £2664.85 out of £6000 after March (44.41%)
