This morning was an early start, an early night resulted in me waking up at 4.30am 🙄 If only l had packed my gym bag it would have been the ideal time to go. I've really been slacking on the exercise and my eating hasn't been great either which is affecting my moods🫤.

Kids were up early too, one has SATS, the other, various assessments to determine which set they will be in next year. I did a drive by to Greggs for sausage rolls, although l did make it this will not be a regular occurrence. I'd been a bit grumpy with them and wanted to lighten the mood. It seemed to do the trick and both were dropped off nice and early so they have time with friends before class.

I also stopped by Lidl and brought myself and work buddy a pastry £1.50 already spent of my £5🙈 .

    Morning all,

The run of bad nights sleep continues😒awake at 2.30am exhausted by 6.30am when l have to get up.

On the plus side l have officially neutralised by weekend spends, another two sales totaling £11.80 have been made on Vinted. I had just returned from posting the first item, when the second one sold l wish buyers would co ordinate there purchases 😂. This means i'm over the £200 money made for the year.

Today should be a NSD, l brought lunch from home. Already flagging 🥱 off to get another coffee.

    Evening all,

What a busy few days its been, cant wait to break up at the end of the week for Whitsun. Its my first week off this year that I'm spending at home l have lots of jobs l want to do. It makes a difference when your day isnt cut up by the school run. The weather forecast looks promising too 🌞🌞.

I have been working on my payroll course (its getting on my nerves actually 🙄) two mocks done, another two and then the final exam. The mock exams are quite involved I've spent nearly 7 hours on two papers and failed the first one initially by 1% 🙈. In spite of this l will preserve to get it finished ASAP.

Due to my time spent elsewhere l haven't had time to list more on Vinted l did make an extra £3 sale. Which brings me up to £80.60. I did intend to add this to our holiday pot. But it turns out young CK has been wearing shoes with holes in…£52 spent on replacement shoes 💸💸💸. So ill wait to decide which pot needs replenishing the most.

In other money news we have received another £430 into our account and back out again for the mortgage. New balance is £10,320 😇 so close to 10k hopefully one more payment should do it.

    Have a good evening.

    Thanks @beanielou 😊

l must admit its felt like a real uphill struggle this year between unexpected costs for the rental property, trying to get an emergency fund together and, pay for everything else without the little pots l had saved to use in 2025.

Getting into single figures will make me believe we're finally on the home straight.

    Morning all,

I'm glad i'm posting this morning instead of yesterday which was horrid btw. Despite Mr CK's snoring keeping me awake half the night (he has a blocked nose). I got up early and am already sat at my office desk😇

    Reasons to be happy

Today l break up from work for a week

The traffic works that have been the bane of my commute since March appears to be finished (or maybe🤔 its because l drove by so early)

The sunshine is on its way 🌞🌞in time for the bank holiday, l mean when does that ever happen?

And this morning when the kids rent hit our account. l transferred it straight away our final may OP payment of £325.

This makes our mortgage balance £9,995 🥳🥳🥳🥳its like the price of a second hand car 😂

    Sending everyone positive energy
