Furness BS Double Access Saver (Issue 1) (£1 min) to be launched at 4.9% tomorrow.

Note Furness BS now allow their accounts to be both opened and managed online/in .
Double Access, so does that mean only two withdrawals are allowed?

Yes.  It usually means that either after third withdrawal the interest rate will be significantly reduced or the second withdrawal will have to be a closure.

It is unlikely that I will need this account in near future, but I will add it to my collection whilst it's available.  It will be also good to put my foot in the door, I've never had an account with Furness.

Very easy procedure to start the application for the new 4.90% Double Access Saver on the laptop as an existing member, and the rate isn't bad in the current climate. Will fund with £1 initially, and see how completion of the process goes.

The benefits of holding or retaining an account there; I was a customer for 20 years+ but closed lost year on a "simplification" drive. My former online login ceased to work.

HTB Instant Access quick Q: Rate drops on 8th Nov to 4.4%. Email says the account can be "closed online" but I don't see an option (only for a withdrawal). Does closing online mean by sending a message?
