  • Pleasantly surprised that they chose to not reduce the existing issue and that it's still at 5.2%.
apologies if previously mentioned (searched but couldn't find anything), but I just noticed a document in my Cahoot account announcing that the Sunny Day Saver (Issue 1) currently paying 5.20% will reduce to 5% on 18th November 2024 (so matching the Issue 2).
Checking my spreadsheet, it seems my anniversary for this account is 20th November, so i've opened an Issue 2, thrown £1 in and as others confirmed, it seems to have been created without issue.
Thank you too @janusdesign, this has made me check my account and sure enough the documents were there (although duplicated). Interestingly this will make my Cahoot Simple Saver 5.12% (NLA) better then the Sunny Day as I didn’t have a document regarding that account, so come 18th November I’ll move funds into there as I have that account until end of January 2025.

I would expect Cahoot to send emails notifying us that we had a document to view as without you I wouldn’t have checked my e-documents and probably wouldn’t have noticed so thank you again 😊

Note - I've reworded the intention of the post as I didn't mean it to include available accounts that can be already found in the ToTP listing. So:

What's the best rate EA(ish) NLA account that you can still pay in to (payable)?

    (Slightly less) Immediate thoughts

Santander Edge                7.00 (£4k max x 2) if you extended NLA.
Cahoot Simple svr Iss1/2  5.12 NLA
Cynergy iss 69                  5.00 (inc bonus until 11 March 2025 - (depending on opening date?)) And earlier issues still payable? NLA
    Cov BS online triple          4.95

Edited OP to take out Barclays RDS and the current Santander Edge Svr as still available shown in the ToTP smaller accounts listing.

What does if you extended mean , please?

Some of us decided to close the 7% version early (before our 12 months had lapsed) and then open the account again at the then preciding rate of 7%, just in case the product was withdrawn before our 12 month term had completed.

Turned out to be the right decision because, sure enough, Santander pulled the 7% offering and replaced it with a 6% version.

So not " extended", as such, but I know what @soulsaver was inferring.

You could have closed and reopened the account while it was still available, and got the rate extended for up to another 12 months... depending how good your crystal ball was - how near to 'maturity' it was when you risked 'refreshing' it.

    Santander Edge Saver (Issue 1) @ 7% - maxed out though - £4k
Skipton Members Bonus Saver @ 5.25% (did reduce from 5.50%) - maxed out though - £3k
Cahoot Sunny Day Saver (Issue 1) @ 5.20% AER (reducing to 5% on 18/11) - maxed out though - £3k

Beehive Limited Edition Easy Access Saver @ 4.95% (reduced from 5.20%, but bonus expires 31/10/24)

Those are my top 4 and all NLA, I believe, in their original format.
Technically, as the top three are at maximum interest earning balance, Beehive is the best that I can still pay in to.

ETA Skipton FA BRT  thanks @ColdIron
Nit picking perhaps, shoot me down in flames, but it's a variable account and not a base rate tracker, although it just decreased by 0.25% and will probably continue to do so as the base rate reduces
It's the Skipton FA Bonus Saver Issue 1
3.80% plus a 1.40% bonus for 6 months from date of opening = 5.20% now reduced to 4.95%

I got digressed with schoolboy humour but wouldn't let me call it FA RT for whatever reason...

    Corrected thanks
