  • What's the best rate EA(ish) NLA account that you(one) can still pay in to (payable)?

    Immediate thoughts

Santander Edge                7.00 (£4k max x 2) if you extended NLA.
Cahoot Simple svr Iss1/2  5.12 NLA
Cynergy iss 69                  5.00 (inc bonus until 11 March 2025 - (depending on opening date?)) And earlier issues still payable? NLA
    Cov BS online triple          4.95

Edit to take out Barclays RDS and the current Santander as still available shown in the ToTP smaller accounts listing.

Have Cynergy issue 68 at 5%, bonus expiring in October.

i was confused as well but if you go on chip its a new savings account that is 4.07% now i think and it will go to 4.84% on 6th september but if you withdraw more then 3 times a year it drops to 2.97% for the rest of the year. so its nor really a easy access account anymore i will be looking around now.

chip lowering rate on easy access to 4.01 on 12th september and new easy access account with 3 withdrawls at 4.84%
I'm confused. The old account is the instant access and is a tracker.
Why can't I see this new account, I'm looking to transfer over to that one.

You need to empty the old savings account before the new one becomes available.
I've just had a look (haven't logged on for a while) and the 4.84 is there to apply for and I still have a couple of quid in the old one.
I still don't think it's clear why some people have it and some don't. I had £8 in my "instant access" account but the new "easy access" was there when I selected the savings tab. I opened the account, moving £1 across from the other one.
  • Has anyone noticed a slowing down of the Tandem app recently? It is taking me upwards of a minute to log in, then similar times to get the pages I need. The actual transfer time of the cash is great - within seconds. But the faff getting there is somewhat frustrating now. And before anyone says, all my other banking apps are working at usual speed.

Just gave it a go,  no noticeable lag on access (on Android).

Have used it on Huawei phone and Galaxy tablet in the last few days and no problem. In fact the app seems to be working better than it has done in the past

Straight in on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Navigated all over from accounts to Info and Profile at the bottom; no slow down noticed.

Tandem have been a pain in the backside recently, upgrading the app led to me having to reset my login, now Tandem want people to upgrade to passkey login.

I don't understand why, things were working fine before all this.

  • @soulsaver sorry just a little confused about your last post on the No Chat thread

"Santander Edge 7.00 (£4k max x 2) if you're still on the first year (by refreshing) NLA."

Mine is only 4 months old but if I refresh it, won't it go down to the new 6%?
