    News from Zopa…

Your bonus rate on Access pots was due to end on 20th October. But as a reward for paying a Direct Debit from your Biscuit bank account, we’re extending it for an extra 6 months.

That means you’ll continue to earn 4.45% AER* (4.36% gross**) variable on your Access pots until 21st April 2027. This includes a 1.5% AER* (1.48% gross**) fixed bonus rate.

You can hold onto this bonus rate by keeping at least one Direct Debit set up on your Biscuit bank account, or keeping £10,000 or more in your Access pots at all times until 21st April 2027. Otherwise, your bonus will end, and your rate will fall to 2.95% AER* (2.91% gross**) variable.

    from their website…

Interest: 4.17% Gross / 4.25% AER (variable) until 31st Oct 2027 - credited on last day of month to same account or linked account.

One penalty free withdrawals allowed each calendar year - so 1 this year and another in 2027… additional withdrawals require closure.

The minimum amount to open and keep this account is £2,000 - must be within 14 days of opening.

    The maximum investment is £500,000

from having a RS account with them, I recall deposits being immediate - I suspect withdrawals would be too.

I just received a similar email, but in my case the "reward" was for having more than £10k in there…

You can hold onto this bonus rate by keeping £10,000 or more in your Access pots or keeping at least one Direct Debit set up on your Biscuit bank account at all times until 21st April 2027. Otherwise, your bonus will end, and your rate will fall to 2.95% AER* (2.91% gross**) variable.

they've also changed the Bonus Rate Challenge terms to start on 20th October - previously you had to pay in £500 per month to the Biscuit account - now it's keeping a balance of £10k in your access pots or having one active direct debit within the Biscuit account.

If anyone opened the Saffron Online Bonus Saver (Issue 2) is it showing as "Issue 2" in the online portal, and does the interest rate (monthly option) show as 3.88%?

    Many thanks.

Zopa: I got that email too. 4.45% AER is a bit below the recent top Easy/Instant Access (4.50-4.56%) but Zopa has been quick and reliable for me so happy to take the extra 6 months.

Already have an account with them so thought it would be quick to open this yesterday. However, at the end of the application, just submit and then nothing. No ref number, no sign of the account, no messages, no emails. Not sure what to make of it.

It is showing for me as "Online Bonus Saver MI Issue 2" with an interest rate of 4.41%.

Thank you. Looks like they've switched me to the Issue 1 version then.

Edit: Yes, they gave me an issue 1 instead of 2, now corrected to 4.41%. Could have been useful if the closed issue paid a better interest rate!

Got the Zopa email, too, for having an active DD. Good to have this rate as a backstop in case Saga, First Active and Tesco drop their rates. A month ago, I have moved all my easy access money to Tesco who not only pay better interest but whose app also makes depositing and withdrawing so much easier than Zopa.

What rate are you getting with Tesco? I must have missed that one. I also got the Zopa email today; as you say, it is nice to have, but I am getting 4.55% with Cynergy.
