Monmouthshire BS are reducing the rate on their NLA Limited Access Saver from 4.8% to 4.45% from 30/9/24.1

MonBS.....Strange how its 0.35% reduction which is more than the 0.25% reduction that happened to the base rate? Also they have a change to the T&Cs from 1st Oct: "We will be changing the notice period from 30 days to 14 days"(Notice period they will give for reduction in interest rate)1

I was the same, but something else reduced and chip wasn't the highest, by was up there. I think I'll keep the majority in the new one and keep a little bit in the side so I can withdraw it when I want. It's an absolute faff changing every couple of months.allegro120 said:
Mine has been empty for a year for the same reason. Also have a double figure of dormant accounts in same position. I don't see any point in closing them, they don't ask for anything and cause no harm.wiseonesomeofthetime said:

Pain in the !!!!!! all this, I wil have to move my money into that one I think.fletcher1985 said:chip lowering rate on easy access to 4.01 on 12th september and new easy access account with 3 withdrawls at 4.84%
Mine has been empty for months, as better rates held elsewhere.
Debating whether to still keep it or ditch it. It is serving no purpose for me atm, but then I have double figure of accounts elsewhere in same position, for ease of opening any new favourable accounts, so 🤔0 -
fletcher1985 said:i have a trading 212 isa and withdrawls take up to 3 days so im after something like chip that i can get the money straight away if needed for the rest of my money.
I have made 3 withdrawals since i opened 212 account, all arrived in my bank account next working day,but yes they do say can take 3 days.

Not necessarily strange. Issue 2 currently pays 4.45%, a 0.35% reduction will bring the rates of issues 1 and 2 both at the same rate of 4.45%, I'd imagine that's possibly one of the reasons why they've chosen to go with a 0.35% rather than a 0.25% reduction.pokemaster said:MonBS.....Strange how its 0.35% reduction which is more than the 0.25% reduction that happened to the base rate?1 -

I received letters about 0.25% reductions, not 0.35%. Am I missing something?1 -
I received letters telling me their NLA regular savers (at least the versions I hold) will be reducing by 0.25%, alongside another letter saying the NLA Limited Access Saver will be reducing by 0.35%.allegro120 said:
