I've just done a cahoot upgrade, to get the interest paid this tax year.

I notice the there is a link "what if not all my accounts are shown?" (they weren't), which is answered "you may have reached the maximum number of accounts for that type"

so they are allowing the upgrade to more SDS accounts even though this shows they know they have a limit.

Cynergy are asking for ID, which they didn't do last time. However the account is fully operational and there is no mention of what will happen, by when, if I just don't do it. The rate is not good enough to be worth the risk. Has anyone else just ignored it?

Edit: It actually won't let me withdraw. Should have waited longer to deposit, at least it was only a test amount.

I opened the Issue 94 Easy Access having had literally dozens of EA accounts (they're all listed under the closed account list) and using the same nominated account (I always use the Quick Apply option). I then got a letter saying they had to set up my nominated account and it wouldn't be available to use until 25th April, despite already having used it about two days after I opened the Issue 94.

Suggests they might have some administrative issues?

Cynergy having administrative issues? Perish the thought! 😂

When "upgrading" a cahoot account, is the interest credited immediately, or does it happen overnight? I see the simple saver has dropped to 3.55% now, so I'm now sorry I didn't downgrade last week.

it is usually next working day - so upgrade today; interest and upgrade letter (in the e-docs section) should be there tomorrow… i've had it take 2 days in the past, but that might have been a weekend.

thanks for the headsup about the new Simple Saver issue - it opened quickly as usual. 😀

I didn't know you could have multiple accounts of the same type with Cahoot, does that mean then if I opened them all to get the TCB cashback I could open them again through Quidco and get the cashback from them too? Has that worked for anyone?

I have done that with the Simple Saver as you are not limited to one account under Cahoot terms.

Opened it via both TCB and another via Quidco, December last year, both tracked both confirmed but still neither have yet paid.

If you're not going to quote a post then you need to say which provider you're asking about. Most of the posts on this page are about Cahoot.

Thank you janusd, if it hadn't been for your reply I'd have left it too late for this tax year as I hadn't realised it was at least next working day.

I downgraded shortly after your response, and the interest has appeared this morning, dated today. I hope this clarification helps anyone else considering crystallizing interest for this tax year - I think it may now be too late, unless they do the same on non working days.
