    Cahoot Sunny Day Saver

My Cahoot SDS is due to mature in a couple of weeks. I’d like to renew it now and get the interest this week. I also have a NLA Cahoot Simple Saver which I want to keep.l as it has higher limits. If I click apply or upgrade will it give me a choice of which account I want to upgrade?

  • It will, but do it slowly and be careful. I have just lost my 4.40% Simple Saver as I read the wrong letter for the account number during the upgrade process 🤦‍♂️

Suddenly, had a significant balance over £3k earning 0%

Not greatly concerned as it was earmarked for ISA next Tuesday, so less will be less than a quid, post tax, but annoyed with myself all the same.

Yes, after clicking through the upgrade link, there's a dropdown to select which account to upgrade. Have the account number of the one you want to upgrade to hand.

I've just done a cahoot upgrade, to get the interest paid this tax year.

I notice the there is a link "what if not all my accounts are shown?" (they weren't), which is answered "you may have reached the maximum number of accounts for that type"

so they are allowing the upgrade to more SDS accounts even though this shows they know they have a limit.

Cynergy are asking for ID, which they didn't do last time. However the account is fully operational and there is no mention of what will happen, by when, if I just don't do it. The rate is not good enough to be worth the risk. Has anyone else just ignored it?

Edit: It actually won't let me withdraw. Should have waited longer to deposit, at least it was only a test amount.

I opened the Issue 94 Easy Access having had literally dozens of EA accounts (they're all listed under the closed account list) and using the same nominated account (I always use the Quick Apply option). I then got a letter saying they had to set up my nominated account and it wouldn't be available to use until 25th April, despite already having used it about two days after I opened the Issue 94.

Suggests they might have some administrative issues?

When "upgrading" a cahoot account, is the interest credited immediately, or does it happen overnight? I see the simple saver has dropped to 3.55% now, so I'm now sorry I didn't downgrade last week.

it is usually next working day - so upgrade today; interest and upgrade letter (in the e-docs section) should be there tomorrow… i've had it take 2 days in the past, but that might have been a weekend.

thanks for the headsup about the new Simple Saver issue - it opened quickly as usual. 😀
