No I don't have an account with them. I steer clear of next day withdrawal accounts (hence the reason for my question) unless the rate is sufficient to offset the days loss in interest on withdrawals.mebu60 said:
@1spiral have you opened an account with them? What did you have to physically do for the photo id? It says validation is carried out by a [named] third party. That was enough to cause me not to progress.1spiral said:Do Nottingham B/S withdrawals arrive same day?Their FAQ state withdrawals on a Monday will reach your account on Tuesday but underneath the table they state "Faster Payments requested after 4pm...................." so is it a next day withdrawal or a faster payment.
Also, does anyone know what the minimum operating balance is for the Nottingham Bonus Access Saver Issue 11? Minimum deposit is £1k but couldn't see anywhere what minimum operating balance is.

One of Notts earlier bonus access T&C's were that the min was £1000 and indeed you could not withdraw to make the balance less than 1K unless you elected to close the account.

Thanks @x44 , I'm pretty sure that's why I had to close a previous account with them as unable to leave £1 in. I think a combination of that, photo id to open and their weird new branding I shall give them a miss. I'm supposed to be simplifying things and having fewer accounts to make things easier for partner and daughter should I become incapable or not around though that plan isn't going so well. The current race to the bottom on rates is probably a good time to make more effort in that regard.x44 said:One of Notts earlier bonus access T&C's were that the min was £1000 and indeed you could not withdraw to make the balance less than 1K unless you elected to close the account.0 -
I attempted to open a Nottingham BS online account earlier this year, gave up when it got to the requirement for a smartphone. Tried again later in the year and it told me to login and go from there - seems like it had "saved" my email address as an existing customer without following through with the process. Nobody at Nottingham would help with the process (unlike Progressive and Furness who manually bypassed the selfie nonsense)
All this despite already being a Nottingham member via a branch account. Farcical.0 -

Close Bros. 4.30% £10k min NLA, replaced by version at 4.15%
If I'm not mistaken this pulls Family BS Market Tracker Saver at 4.25% into the top 10.1 -
Interesting one - note it's due a rate review as 4.25% set July 1st and is recalculated September, effective 1st October.Bridlington1 said:" Rates effective from 1 July 2025 Gross/AER1 £1+ 4.25% - The interest rate tracks the highest interest rates paid in the taxable immediate access market. It is calculated using data from Moneyfacts® and pays an average interest rate of the 20 highest gross annual variable interest rates, for an investment of £10,000 from a reference group. Anyone opened the Spring Easy Saver https://www.spring-savings.co.uk/save/easy-saver and found it good/bad? Looking to move funds from Paragon’s main platform.Any reason at 4.3% why this doesn’t have its own place in the top ten? @soulsaver1

I opened the account without any issue last weekend and have transferred money in and out several times. Transfers have been almost instantaneous.poppystar said:Anyone opened the Spring Easy Saver https://www.spring-savings.co.uk/save/easy-saver and found it good/bad? You can have a maximum of 4 pots underlying the main account.
The visibility of the allocation of funds to the main account when you have pots in place is not immediately intuitive but once I realised what the app was doing it made sense.
No unncessary frills (apart from the opening screen) - nothing to complain about so far.£6000 in 20231 -
Yes, I have thd account. Easy to open and use with instant deposits and withdrawals using open banking on the app. It is app only which is a concern for me but have a couple of other accounts which are online.1
