When did the Virgin Defined Access savings rate drop to 4.06%? The last email I had from them in Nov last year said 4.51% but nothing since.
Which version are you referring to?
The Virgin defined access e saver (issue 30) which has been available to open since 13th February pays 4.06% AER.
The Virgin defined access e saver (issue 27) which is the account I have and was available to open between 2/10/2024 and 19/12/2024 is still paying 4.51% AER as far as I can see.
Rates for old versions are here (choose 'previously offered', 'online' then 'E-saver')
I have £35k in mine with monthly interest.
Up until Feb I was receiving £131 in interest. However, this month that has reduced to £119 with no withdrawals.
    Because February has 28 days and January has 31 days (131 x 28/31 = 118)
    I came, I saw, I melted

    I have issue 19
Feb has 10% fewer days in it than other months, so you got 10% less interest than in Jan?

Chase booster (6 month) just increased their rate by 0.25% back up to 4.75% after an initial 0.50% cut.

    I'll take that : )

    Strange decision?

No-one in receipt of the 6 month boost was going to leave before the end of the introductory rate anyway, and all the rest are busy withdrawing funds because of the low 3% standard rate and the new restrictions to the cashback proffer.

I can only assume that the World's fifth largest bank knows what it's doing.

Encouraging people to stay with them, rather than ditching for a cash ISA with a better rate to use up their ISA allowance before April?

I dunno, I still have a few months left of the Chase boost, but was planning to open a 5% Chip ISA in 2 and a bit weeks.

I guess I am slightly less likely to now Chase have upped it to 4.75%. I probably still will, though,

Is anyone else experiencing problems logging into Tesco bank app?  Since being forced to reset my password for allegedly getting my login details wrong, that I use regularly, I now have to use a passcode and nothing more to log into the app.  After a day, it didn’t recognise that passcode so after waiting a couple more days I’ve reset it to the same passcode.
