Chip isn't offering me a Instant True EA at 4.70%, I've got the limited withdrawal bonus Easy Access 4.75% one though. Is the Chip Instant Access the one (is 3.75% the one I've got open)? Would I be able to close it and open it again to get that rate?
I’ve just taken out a Cahoot sunny day saver which pays 4.75% on balances up to £3k, it’s a true instant ea. I then have the rest of my cash for monthly cash flow in another ea which isn’t instant, but currently paying the same interest
Can I just open this account without having any other Cahoot accounts?

Will I need to wait for actual paperwork before I can put the 3K into it?

Is it an unlimited withdrawal instant easy access account as the one I have with Gatehouse is slowwwwwwwww to withdraw back to nominated account?

    Cheers

Anyone else having problems with Chip? Withdrew some cash over an hour ago to Lloyds and it still hasn't arrived when it usually is instant?

Yes you can, but you’ll need to wait for a physical letter when you open your first account before you have full online access. From then on, everything is pretty much instant.

You can double it if you open a joint account.  I had 6 (2 per issue), now down to 5 (they only last for a year).  Space for £9k at 5% and £6k at 4.75% - more than enough to feed my regular savers.
I thought you could only have one and one joint account overall. So is it per issue?
    Cahoot Sunny Day.
    Yes, it is per issue.

AFAIK you don't need to have any other Cahoot accounts to open Sunny Day.
I can't remember about paperwork, but you can fund it as soon as you receive your account number.
I think there is £1 minimum balance.  Apart from that, withdrawals are unlimited and instant and the same for deposits.  Just make sure you keep your balance at £3k or under, you won't get interest on anything above £3k.

I suspect it's not Chip, but Lloyds.  I had payment from First Direct to Halifax delayed by nearly 1 hour this morning.  I called FD, they confirmed that the payment went out as normal, so the problem was with LBG.

Looking at Social Media and Halifax X account, it seems that Lloyds and Halifax had payment issues this morning. I had a delayed payment from Chase to Halifax which has now arrived.

when your account is approved and opened (usually in a few minutes), you'll receive an email that will state...
    Online and Telephone Banking

If you already have log on details, you can continue to use them. If not, we’ll send two letters within the next 7 days.

For security we’ll send them separately and they’ll include:

    1.
    Your temporary Password

    2.
    Your temporary Security Number

You’ll also need your Personal ID, which is xxxxx
that email will also contain your sort code and account number, so you should be able to fund it straight away, but won't be able to make withdrawals until you get those two letters in the post and can login.
I opened the ‘appless’ Cahoot simple saver and it shows a rate of 3.93%. Can’t see anything else on there on offer.
as previously discussed, you can use the Santander app to access Cahoot accounts (just login using your Cahoot details), but you would then be unable to use the Santander app to access any Santander accounts without first uninstalling the app.

I now have the Sunny day account with 1p in after transferring from the simple saver. I don't actually need it as got more than the £3k in Gatehouse at the same rate, after moving the savings from Chase. I tried the Santander app but a faff as I have a Santander RS account. Good to have as a back up if needed or new products come on the market.
I have now been getting any GH transfers the same day but will always allow a few days if I need any funds out. They aren't the slickest.

    Cahoot Sunny Day.
    Yes, it is per issue.
Are you sure about this as the KPI states

"You can have a maximum of two cahoot Sunny Day Saver accounts – one in your sole name and one that you hold jointly with someone else. If you don’t keep to these terms, we might switch your account to a cahoot Savings Account."

It conveniently omits the words per issue that would provide clarity.

My current one drops like a stone at the start of March so, with the security of 60 days notice of change of interest, it may be beneficial to open a 4.75% issue 3 now, prior to Thursday's BoE meeting.
