Just opened a Gatehouse account.  Sent £5 test payment and downloaded app. Can see no way to withdraw using app. Is it possible?

Also see no way to withdraw using browser!
checking my emails, when I opened my first Gatehouse account two years ago, they must have sent a welcome letter in the post... it contained a code to enter to authenticate my nominated bank account on the website... possibly you still need to authenticate your nominated account before the withdraw option is available.
I should add that back in the day, it was a week between opening online and receiving the letter in the post.

Might be the case but no mention of it in comms
CoP for nominated account was also undertaken during application.

Not going to open this account yet. I don't want to chance them paying the proceeds from my regular saver onto this, instead of the 5% easy access account some people have recently been given.
    Gatehouse

I had another easy account open when my regular saver matured on Sunday and the balance was not transferred out. Gatehouse changed the reference number for the account that the Regular Saver money was held in so it automatically became the 5% account

oops sorry @Middle_of_the_Road I appear to have deleted your post I was trying to quote!

I already had their EA account, but when the RS matured, the balance was transferred to the 5% EA account by Gatehouse.

Thanks, all the same, the terms of that account seem odd, they might even change them, or claim an error.

It won't make any difference. I have Gatehouse Easy Access running since June 2023 and my RS matured into 5% EARS resulting in two EA accounts paying two different rates.

I had an existing EA with Gatehouse when my RS closed. They didn't use it but opened up the new account (which still has no T&Cs) at the higher level.

NuWealth GB Bank Easy Access Account 4.4% (£500 min).

A 12 month 0.46% boost is available for balances of up to £20k, taking the overall rate to 4.86%.
Any idea whether inward and outward payments are immediate or next day etc? Also, do they use COP? TIA.
  • ULSTER LOYALTY SAVER should be listed by Martin in top Easy Access Savings (for some weeks now).
Even though it reduced its rate to 4.75% in mid October for >=£5000, it is still BETTER than Chetwood, Close & Principality that are listed as top buys.

Pluses: (1) Good interest rate. (2) Instantaneous transfer/access to UNLIMITED withdrawals.  (3) Money in & out shows instantaneously / within a minute.  (4) Good "buffer savings account" as you can access your base £5000 in emergencies (but you'll lose the higher rate until you replenish)
Minuses: (1) Only worth considering for £5000+, as rate for less is only 2%.  (2) both of these rates will reduce by 0.25% on 20/01/25, but other top earners may do the same within this timeframe too.

Come on Martin-team - give it a mention: I only discovered it as you has as a best-buy some months/years ago!
