  • Hi there,

I’ve now received the letter below, I’m guessing this is CEL wanting to claim for the other fines which were not yet at CCJ stage? I’m confused because I never received the Letter of Claim?

    What should I do 😥?

I have not read back, but if you didn't receive the N1SDT  claim form pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL in the post, perhaps they served it to an old address. ?  You need to contact the CNBC and use the claim reference to see where it went and the date on it etc
  • Thanks @Gr1pr, if that is the case and they have served it to an old address, would they revert this back to the claim form?
  • Well I just called and they don’t know when it was sent or who it was sent to, my only option is to pay or go down the set aside road again apparently, by paying another £303 for a hearing.

    Who have you 'just called'?

"they don’t know when it was sent or who it was sent to"... what is 'it' in there, and who doesn't know?

Have you asked the CNBC the questions that @Gr1pr suggested?

If the three of us are referring to the Civil National Business Centre, that is who I called, just to avoid ambiguity.

I believed that before being served with the letter I posted above, I would’ve received something else to defend it like the N1SDT form? Was I wrong? Is this what should’ve happened and now I have to pay to defend it at court?
  • So I called CNBC again because I was unhappy with the first person who answered, this time they told me it was sent sometime in October and to my current address by the court, however, nothing did show up… what are my options? 🥲

Ouch.  You'll have HCEOs (used to be called bailiffs) at the door within days if you don't hurry up and rush in an application at your local court to STAY THE WRIT.

That should cost you only £15, hopefully.

Is this a fresh claim gone missing? Not one of the two CCJs you already had?

Hide your car now. In a garage. Out of sight.

  • Hi @Coupon-mad, this is from the 6 alleged PCNs that they were threatening to turn into CCJs and they have gone through with their promise, only I never received the N1SDT form, which I find very suspicious because I received everything else…

I quickly scanned through StealthLady’s thread but I didn’t understand how she applied to the local court to stay the writ, I read that she just submitted and paid the £303 to set the CCJ aside?

Your fastest way to stop the HCEOs is to apply to stay the writ.  Because your CCJ in this case is over £600 DCB will have applied for one within days. I can't stress enough how urgent this is for you.   HCEOs are horrible.

Don't leave any doors or windows open.

Don't open the door without a catch on.

Don't leave your car visible, not on your drive and not even round a corner on street.

Whether she ended up paying £303 to the CNBC or (as I VERY strongly recommended) fast tracked it for just fifteen quid at her local court, her thread shows you the exact process and what to put in the N244.

Time is of the essence or your vehicle will likely be clamped within days. HCEOs force people to pay. Don't let them in. Head this off urgently.
