    It was mean of him, but not surprising, that he didn't let you know he was abandoning the case. The guy was obviously a chancer and all credit to you for seeing his nonsense through to the end.

    He already knew as he had informed the court he wasnt attending on 3rd March and was never planning on doing so

    Maybe couldn’t get over from IOM as the sun was in his eyes or something ;)

    Great news for you and absolutely the right result. Just a shame you've had to go through all this and that there seems to be zero comeback or costs on the other person for wasting your time and causing you so much stress over it.
