Agreed, it baffles me why some people behave the way they do. No one really is interested in such posts, they benefit no one.

Sounds to me like the claimant wanted free hire of your camper van. He's extremely annoyed that you have contested this, so is now causing you as much expense and inconvenience as possible, with no intention himself was ever turning up. Why did you tell the judge it wouldn't bother you? Do you actually believe the claimant was stuck on the Isle of Man?!

I don't know what I can do or say in court never having been in one in my 69 years so I just agreed, I'm not the sort of person to make a fuss and the court is quite near where I live.  Not sure if he was stuck on the Isle of Man but ferries were running to schedule after the storm the weekend before. 
Got new court date for March now so got to go through it all again.  I have been honest and have nothing to hide so what will be will be.  Thank you.

Just letting know all who have been or are still following this, court is next month.  Not heard anything else from claimant.  I'll keep you updated.  Thank you

Aw, I'm so grateful to you all, you've been so encouraging and helpful.  The only reason I post when there's nothing new to tell you all is because I've read so many posts from other people on various subjects and they rarely tell you the outcome which is quite disappointing.   I will definitely keep you posted.

Hi all. Just letting you know I'm in court tomorrow,  no idea how things will go.  I'm nervous and even though I've told the truth you just don't know do you.  I'll let you all know what happens.  Thank you to all who have posted advice and given me support.
