Good morning 😊
Paid stuff today.
WM is on - I will peg out in a mo. I need to sweep & vac downstairs, but it can wait until I have finished work as the kiddies will only mess it up again 😂 mucky pups!
Today's plan is out at the gardening project this morning, painting this afternoon. I may get a chance to potter in the garden while they make potions in the mud kitchen 😁
Clean up after work.
DH is out, so I may suggest a takeaway to DS
Knitting - finish the baby hat
Have a good day everyone 😁8 -
Just bobbing in to say good morning all. Been soooo busy the last few weeks. Couple that with the worlds least reliable internet and .... I end up MIA. Since I was last here, in no particular order, we've spent two days "up north" attending brother in laws funeral. Shopping trips times four. Dental appointment. Been to collect meds twice! They only have us half the first time, now OH has almost all of them, need to go again Tuesday! (Is it really so difficult for them? This eats up so much time and petrol). Sorted a sheep with a prolapse. Sorted a lamb with a bad foot. Bottle fed next doors lambs while they were away, they had our dog while we were away. Planted out seedlings, removed several tons of weeds, watered lots, collected lots of produce. Set the incubator running with a dozen eggs, then two days later found a broody hen, so she is sitting too. Checked incubator several times a day. Spent hours on the phone with DD2 and DS1, both in the process of buying houses. Watched, fed and put to bed, DGC x 3. May even have done a little flying.
Busy again today. OH has gone up to his sisters, he is buying late brother in laws car from her, and leaving our small one for nephew to sell. The money for this will also go to sister. He will be back tomorrow. Also tomorrow, DD2, DS-i-L2, DGS2 and DGD3 are arriving for a few days. DGD3 has her birthday on Sunday. OH's sister is coming on 21st, with her DD, and four of her her DGC. Possibly also her niece. Visitors from Canada probably the end of July. DS1 may be down at some point. Normal summer really!
Now off to load the DW, s&s the kitchen, then outside to start the days work.
May get time to read back later, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -
must remember to pop to pharmacy for meds…will drop in on the aged peas too.
Also want to re-mow the lawn (I say lawn…patch would be better).

Thought I'd done more in the letting double room when it was vacated last time, but apparently not. It's now dusted, all the woodwork washed, vacuumed and the bed made and is ready for an arrival on Sunday. At the same time I finished the superking, and discovered that the cordless thingy has a lot more life in it now I've replaced the battery so I've done most of the stairs too. The shower room has been blitzed but I'll finish off the rest that need doing tomorrow. Proper flying for once.WM is running because I/we forgot to let Wren out mid-afternoon and she's not a dog that tells us when she needs to go out. I don't want dogpee towels hanging around when there are paying guests due and there were pairs of socks and gardening gloves that needed to go in.Have finally pinched out all of the sideshoots from the tomatoes that needed that doing, and tied them in. Some of the stalks have already gone a bit wonky but I can live with that if the plants can.Still working away on the jobs that take less than 5 minutes and I've got a lot done but I don't imagine there will come a time when I'll run out of them. Having broken down some bigger projects into 5 minute tasks so that I'm not too daunted by them I'm making a rod for my own back in a way, but dealing with Toots List things so in the end it'll be a win:win.Better is good enough.7

Finished the shower (yay!), whizzed around with the vac downstairs and the whole house has had a flick with the duster. Far less dust than normal as I only did it about 10 days ago. Just got to keep this up. Didn't take long.No contact from the plumber so the guest bedroom is still full of the airing cupboard contents.Make £2025 in 2025

Hi all
Bit snuffly and headachy with this cold. The doctor wants me to get a blood test done to check there is no underlying reason why I feel tired and run down.
So, today, sunglasses ordered from opticians, quick trip to supermarket, paid stuff done, laundry sorted, and I have had a general tidy around.
I also confess to spending £52 that I couldn't really afford in the charity shop on two Boden shirts, a Next Jumper, a Kath Kidston bag and a Gap jacket, all of which look new. It cheered me up though.
Cold and rainy here, more like October than June!

You'd have kicked yourself and developed depression if you hadn't donated to the charity and got beautiful things in return.Better is good enough.6 -
Good morning my lovelies xx
And breathe...weekend is upon us. And I don't require bail money 😉.
I had a lovely relaxing Friday evening - letting all the stress ooze out of my pores. Flumped with book and a bit of telly.
Could have got up at 5.40 am but why would I? Must have eventually dozed off again and woke up at 8. I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, completed Wordle and Connections (found it ridiculously easy today. Is there no middle ground setter?), and savoured my first brew.
I think I'll get dressed before I make brew 2. If I can stop yawning 🥱.
What are you all planning to do today? Anything exciting? Do tell. I'm going to get dressed, savour brew 2, and then I'll be back with a Round.
Love to all
