Had a lovely morning with my friends at their wedding
Unable to do much this afternoon as I needed a rest and was feeling very cold.
Have done an inspection of the estate (ie garden) this evening and admired a patch of beautiful red poppies.
Also checked which of the 2 varieties of tomato plants in my mini-greenhouses need to have their side shoots removed. The answer is both - but the one odd plant which I've put in a pot on the steps is a bush variety, so the side shoots should not be removed. That's easy to remember!
I will try to fly tomorrow.

My flying today has comprised washing up, driving then unpacking in Cornwall. DB has taken over as carer so Mr N and I have been able to come away for a few days break. Thankfully Mum continues to make good progress so I'm hoping my anxiety levels will decrease at least for a few days.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7

Enjoy your break Narco.Long 10 hour day at the paid stuff. Tomorrow will be the same and I have to go with DS for a blood test which will be a good 45 minutes each way, even if there is no traffic.
I am getting a cold.8 -
Morning xx
Enjoy your break Narc0 😘
I'm up, bed's made, lunch is packed, and all the rest of the morning faff is done. Two lines on Connections this morning.
Garden waste bin has been emptied. Now I can fill it again 😊 Not today though, got to go to work.
Have a good day.

Have a lovely break, Narco.
Safe journey to DS’s blood test YL and I hope of h to the tension lifts very soon.
Round, everything you do outside counts as gardening. Weeding, washing down paths and garden furniture, dewebbing the gutters. Anything. It all makes the place look better.
I’m dealing with big piles of gibble that have accumulated over years/ decades of ‘That could be useful’ and ‘That’s too good to bin’ and ‘That’s important’ in the attic and my Room of Doom. I’ve disposed of a lot of stuff but there’s mountains more to go and I find it quite challenging and wearing. It should make me feel better when I get one project finished, but in truth I’m still overwhelmed by it all.
My computer is on the blink which is seriously upsetting. My go-to switch off and decompress is vegging out watching The Tube of You, and it just isn’t the same on a mobile phone, so I’m all jangly.
Better is good enough.7 -
Slinks back in again. I don't like to admit the number of times I've stuck my head up on this board over many years and yet still I can't get my cleaning under control. I had visitors a couple of weeks ago so the house was cleaned as thoroughly as I ever manage ready for their arrival, apart from our ensuite when I ran out of time. I would really like to be able to maintain the level of cleanliness I achieved and not let it slip back again.Today I've tackled the ensuite loo and washed the floor (my least favourite job, 4 weeks since it had been done). For a few weeks I managed to clean this floor weekly and it wasn't too bad, but it gets so unbelievably filthy with dust and fluff if not done regularly. It's less than 2 square meters, but mopping doesn't seem to get it clean, it's a hands and knees with a bathroom sponge job. Will go back shortly and finish off cleaning the tiles and basin in there once the floor is dry. Will clean the shower after I've used it tomorrow morning.Lots of mess upstairs unfortunately as we emptied the airing cupboard for the plumber to make a repair, but he's not got the part so all the linen is piled on the guest bed still waiting for him to come back. Also need to get my 'office' under control. Will file some paperwork this afternoon, and commit to binning junk. I must clear the windowsill which is a dumping ground.Need to book a trip to the tip for the weekend. Also got to hang out second load of washing.Make £2025 in 2025
