** how did all that fit in there? I knew I had some superglue somewhere - it had fallen down the back and into a bowl in the cupboard below. I knew the bag of window keys was in there somewhere. Tada. Why do I have 7 or 8 adapters when I've never been abroad in my life? How many pens and pencils does one person need? And phone ear buds....I assume one set will fit my phone, not sure about all the others. And a Nintendo charger. Hmmmm. I wonder which Nintendo that belongs to. And cables - they can go in the cable drawer. Ditto candles in the candle tin, and buttons in the button jar. How many coasters does one person need? Needles back in the needle holder.
It's all out and on the draining board. So it's going to have to be sorted. I'll wipe the drawer and rehome the easy stuff: candles, cables, buttons. Looks like DS is going to have a bag of stuff to take home next time he visits 😂
I may be a while.

I'm having a tea break 😊
I am up, dressed & breakfasted. Bed has been made.
DH emptied the DW & stacked it - so that has been restacked 🙄 (a control freak? Me?? Nah!!)
I have done WM x1 & pegged that out. 2 toilets & 2 basins cleaned.
We have ordered shelves for the 2 alcoves in the LR. They were not cheap! The alcoves are different widths, and we couldn't get matching shelves in both widths 😕 so had to get them made. They are chunky wood & heavy! I have stained 2 out of 4 - after my tea break I will do the other 2.
Still to do:
Straighten hair (the birds nest look isn't good!)
Small food shop from Mr Al - main shop was done Saturday
Cut grass in the garden & at the allotment
Claim free ear buds that came with my new phone
Other stuff that I can't remember right now....
I also fancy a visit to bnq and/or the garden centre for some plants (aka slug fodder) - flowers & replacement veggies. I can go to Mr Als on the way back - sounds like a plan!8 -
Me again. I'm just having my lunch while DGD2 has a nap.
We have walked Poppet, planted some seeds and played. From the list I WUDUPA and scrubbed the kitchen sink.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
P & S came for a coffee. P left with a book of matches and two bolts with wingnuts. 😉
I did a big shop at Mr Al and it's all been put away.
I'm abandoning the inventory idea, it's slowing me down. Hopefully won't need it as everything will be visible anyway. That the plan.

Drawer sorted. Bin is now filled with dried up biros and chewed pencils. Bag of stuff for DS. Cardboard and battery recycled. Couple of bits in the cs box. Drawer contents now neat and tidy. And I found some earphones for my phone.

The dailies got done. Lots of mopping up etc cos of potty training but we went to toddler group and no accidents out and about. Need to do my nails next then decide between knitting, reading a book or watching telly.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Evening all. Do you mind if I rejoin you after being away for a few months with really low energy? I’m starting to have more energy again so I’ll tackle some of the kitchen tasks this evening before bed. Thanks for the great lists @Valli and for running this thread. I hope anyone who’s feeling off kilter can have an easy week. 🙂7

Yesterday, in another day of supersonic flying I cleaned, vacc'd and tidied the kitchen, bathroom and sitting room and did a load of washing and drying. I also went to the recycling centre, took down rubbish to the bins and did the usual cooking and washing up.Today A's friend from his school days came with his partner and spent the day here so that I could go away to Cambridgeshire where I was attending the interment of the ashes of my dear friend who died last year. I was sad but at the same time I was relieved finally to complete this important event. There is just the headstone or arrange now but it can't be put in place for about 12 months. I'd like to have the design and inscription finalised well before that though. It was a 160 mile round trip and the longest I've driven for a long time. Fortunately there was only one significant hold-up on the way there and none on the way back. When I got back I saw our friends for a while and afterwards made a simple supper and am now about to WU.

A fairly productive day in the end 🙂
I finished staining the shelves. They are now back in the shed as realistically they won't get put up until the weekend at the earliest.
After lunch I sorted my hair & then went to bnq - spent about £30 on plants (20% off today), then bought various squash plants & some broccoli at the gc. Popped in to Mr Al on the way back. It took quite a while, but I decided to go to the allotment anyway when I got back. Grass cut and a patch weeded. I planted out some replacement tomatoes my mum gave me. I hope they survive! 🤞
DH cut the grass at home 👍 I have a lot of planting to do!!
Free ear buds have been claimed and I have received confirmation that the claim has been accepted 👍
That's about it! WU hasn't been done, but DH is off tomorrow in lieu of the BH so he can do it! 😂 Paid stuff tomorrow - one child has already been cancelled, and another is a maybe. It could be a quiet day....maybe he would like a trip to the allotment 🤔😂
Night night all!8
