But if we have any energy left over, then now is a time to try to use it. Elections prompt candidates turn their full beam of attention to their constituents, and so it is an opportune time to make your point about things that matter to you, either as local or national causes. This might be directly - by contacting candidates to tell them about something that matters to you, or indirectly, by adding your name to a petition or your support to a charity that lobbies about something that matters to you, by getting involved in citizen-science data gathering projects. Now is the time to speak of the unheard of things, causes that don’t get enough attention but affect people everyday.

Well done, Thrifty. I have a postal vote. I know who I'm not going to vote for but, honestly, at this moment I really don't know who will get my vote. Seems to me that there are an awful lot of empty promises/bribes flying about. Instead of sniping at one another why can't they just get together and do something positive for people. So, if anyone comes knocking on my door (which probably won't happen) I am preparing a list of questions (which they probably won't be able to answer).
Anyway, my plan for June, after the, frankly, horrendous last 18 months is to try to get back to some kind of normality. I've had two good appointments this week. First annual review after breast surgery was really positive (nicest doctor I've seen from that side of things so far) and the wound infections have finally healed so no more twice weekly treks to the health centre to have dressings changed.
So (I apologise, It's a bit selfish) -- Eat healthily to try and shed some of the pounds that have piled on. Some due to medication but, I confess, not all.
- Bit of exercise. Well, walking really. A bit difficult as my lung function is not nearly back to normal but a little bit every day and a little bit further every day will help.
- Himself and I getting out and about. Going for lunch, etc. Not very MSE but it need not cost a fortune and we can afford it. And it will be so good for our mental health. We've been moping around the house for far too long
- Oh the house! What a complete disaster! It is so untidy. Again a little at a time and keep on top of it.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -

Good morning,
Glorious sunshine here, perfect start for June. I finished off May with a spa bath which I haven't had for ages (face mask, exfoliation, etc). Feels so good. Will definitely make self care part of my routine again this month.
Will spend most of the day in the garden I hope, tidying the shed, weeding. I might also try and find the white emulsion as our new washing machine left some unpainted recess exposed.
Finances are all sorted, and I started using cash envelopes again. Hopefully it will be a good survey month again as Prolific was a good wee side earner the last few months.
Both kids are out of child care now(last after school club cancelled) which should help from this month immensely. Plus N@ationwide is paying it's customers £100.
Today won't be an NSD as I need a small top up shop.
Have a fantastic dayDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2510
