(I did not receive a Letter Before Claim if that matters?)Iv'e gone through the second post on the Newbies thread but annoyingly im afraid to say im stumped as to what piece relates to my case and the action i should be taking from here.
As it says there, a Letter of Claim is just another name for Letter Before Claim.
Deal with either as described in the first few lines of that second post of the NEWBIES thread.
Deal with either as described in the first few lines of that second post of the NEWBIES thread.I read this part here i wasn’t sure what i should or shouldn’t be doing when you say 'deal with either'?
Really??
I thought is was clear that I was saying if you have a Letter of Claim or a Letter Before Claim, the course of action is to deal with it as described in the first few lines of the second post of the NEWBIES thread.3 -

SMALL CLAIM?
IF YOU HAVE A THREAD, REPLY ON IT, DON'T START A NEW ONE.
Pre-action stage:
If you have a 'Letter of claim' or Letter Before Claim (LBC), a claim IS likely.
A 'real' LBC gives a 30 day deadline and reply forms. DO NOT use the 'reply forms'. You do not have to declare your finances!
PLEASE NOTE THE ABOVE IS THE ADVICE TO RESPOND TO A LETTER OF / BEFORE CLAIM, THIS IS NOT WHAT TO DO IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A CLAIM FORM
(that's also easy - no CCJ risk asking as you act quickly - but actual Claims are dealt with lower down in this post). If the parking firm is using Gladstones, DCLegal, BW Legal or other solicitor and you have a LBC or LoC (a letter) then search the forum for the solicitor's email and reply robustly as follows:Are these the first few lines that you are talking about as im still confused as to what i should or shouldn’t be doing or am i quoting the wrong section?Im so confused i kinda wish i had just paid the original fine ( is there a way i can just pay the original £60 and be done with it?) as i don’t seem to have the intelligence to understand what’s going on or what i should be doing.0 -

I appreciate you’ve taken the time several times to reply, but would it possible for you just tell me what i should be doing rather then just saying that im not doing something correctly?0 -
I edited my latest post after you read it. Please have another read.3

Dear Sirs,
Your Ref. ############
Proposed Legal Proceedings
Claimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx LtdThank you!

Just send the one shown to whatever email. It doesn't matter. It doesn't stop the claim and you don't want it to.
Please don't ask about court claims. Maybe sit down with a trusted & sensible friend or family member who isn't emotionally involved & just read the second post of the NEWBIES thread, so you know what to do when.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just an update, they obviously got my email and they did reply, not with anything satisfactory but they did reply! In EVERY case (not just P/Eye):
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE to complain to the Landowner or retailer, and LBC stage is a last chance. When faced with a polite but ''angry customer who will never return'' complaint many retailers cancel these.
DO NOT WRITE THAT YOU WISH TO 'APPEAL'. No, it's a complaint! The email complaint to the landowner/retailer in this case BP (email: careline@bp.com), how much information do i give them in my complaint, am i giving reference numbers, license plate, debt recovery/solicitors names etc?

All of it.
Or attach a copy of the PCN and that latest letter and ask whether BP are proud of that reply, basically refusing to engage: 'we are unable to respond directly and in writing to your individual request.' Why not?!
Moorside are telling victims of PCN scams to 'read our website'. Does BP think this is how the public should be treated?
BP have cancelled a couple of PCNs seen on this forum in recent weeks.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
