Hi all
I am sitting out in the garden, with thermals, jeans and a jumper on. There is a little bit of sun but it's heading around the side of the house so I am soon going to admit defeat.
It's been a nice day, I cycled with friends then went to the supermarket with DH and gave my office a good clean. My anxiety has been up and down but I am doing daily yoga/meditation and making a point of taking it easy. This will pass.
We are going to a plant fair at a stately home tomorrow and taking a picnic, for once the weather looks reasonably decent.
OK time to go inside I think. The washing needs bringing in too.8 -
Look what I found on my rummage
just under 1kg, this is from the first tub only.

Ooooh, beautiful harvest Kaz. Good call on the powerbank - I have one and carried it and the charging lead every day after that. I needed it too, when the last bus was cancelled and I phoned the B&B for a lift.Better is good enough.7

Thank you H_B and glad you're back. Hope you're feeling better soon.Today I've been flying supersonic. I got up early (for me) and went to the bakery for the cheese straws and the p au c. Then I went on and had the car cleaned; the place I go to is normally pretty busy but I was the only one there this morning. I was there before 08.30 so maybe that was why. All the roads quiet though as was the bakery, which is also normally very busy even from when it opens at 08.00. I suppose lots of people are away given it's half term. When I got back I emptied the fridge and took out the shelves and washed them and wiped the inside and put it all back again. I then tidied, de-cluttered, dusted and vacc'd the bedrooms and then put everything back, except the things I'd de-cluttered. I also emptied the kitchen bin and took the rubbish and two bags of recycling down and put away two grocery deliveries. In between, I made lunch and tea and WUPA everything. It doesn't sound so much now I've written it but I was on the go almost non-stop from 08.00 until 5.30 until I went to church, by which time I felt pretty tired.I'm going to try and go to bed reasonably early as I want to do the kitchen, bathroom and sitting room tomorrow as well as take some of my de-cluttering to the recycling centre, which is an hour's round trip.9

Good morning my lovelies xx
The sun is shining!
I'm up, made my bed, set towels swishing, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped my first brew.
Forgot to grab the tea towels to swish with the towels. Annoying but not the end of the world.
Round 1
Brew 2 and breakfast
Get dressed
Stand airer in the sun
Feed birds
Put out recycling
Peg out towels
Assemble strimmer

Honey_Bear said:Narco, if you're heading back to Dorset please drive safely. I hope your mother continues to improve but isn't discharged home until she's ready to cope.
I've done so much flying I won't itemise it. Thanks for all your support and hugs to all as I know many of you are in challenging times too.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all, from a (shhhh) sunny south west,
Narc0, have my spare spoons and some hugs. That was not a good experience, but sounds all too familiar. I hope your mum continues to make good progress, and that you remember to look after yourself as well x
Round - poet laureate? Who says you can’t write poetry for a living? Not me, for one 😘. I think there might even be a free Open Learn course on it, but don’t quote me on that.
CoG - supersonic flying? Love it! I manage a sedate gliding at best…
Kaz - thank you for the link, right up my street.
Yesterday was not a bad day, for all my anxieties about it. I did a small grocery shop in the big Mr S, picked up a c&c, might have picked up a few plants to put in the tubs to pretend that it is summer (they were on a very reasonable offer and looked healthy, in my defence), had my haircut, pottered in the garden for a couple of hour achieving very little, then we were out for dinner with friends, which was very nice. Not sure that flying appeared in that list anywhere…
Today’s plan is allotment this morning, garden this afternoon. Dinner is out of the freezer (ah, there’s the flying!). Anything else is a bonus. Piggers, I would say that a half plot allotment would be the best for DH to start and move on up to a full plot if he wants to later. I don’t spend nearly enough time there, as I only have the weekends. Usually a few hours on both days, weather permitting. It makes such a difference if you can do little and often though, even just an hour or so every couple of days makes such a big difference. Good luck!8 -
Morning all - sunny here, and due to remain so all day
HB, I am relieved that you had a power bank with you for emergencies.
CoG, well done with the decluttering and flying.
Narc0, I'm very sorry to hear you and your mum had such a bad experience and hope she will settle quickly and comfortably in her own home.
DH didn't come home yesterday as expected: apparently he had a pain in his chest when he woke up, so the consultant told him to stay in for another night, which allowed them to get in another couple of AB infusions. I await a phonecall, so I'm not going to church this morning. At least our main horse piddle is only a 20-minute drive away. I do need to have a shower and get dressed first! I am hoping DH will be home for lunch, as the poster outside the ward proudly proclaims, as I want to attend my friend's licensing service this afternoon - however, pharmacy is notoriously slow at getting discharge meds ready, so it's all down to them.
Kaz, I'm another one who is enjoying the Greenfly thread, thank you. Although I can no longer do much out there myself beyond dead-heading, I love reading about what other people are doing. My gardener won't be coming for 3 weeks because he is going on holiday, so I shall need to ask DS1 if he or one of my DGDs could mow the lawn for me next weekend.
This house is tidy and I did the food shop yesterday; just need to get WMx2 done and hung out today. And I might finally get my seeds sown. Don't hold your breath
Hope everyone has a relaxing day xxx8 -

Round 2
Refill birdbath
Start strimming grass at the back (there's far more grass at the back than at the front so I need to pace myself.)
Quite proud of myself for assembling the strimmer. Not rocket science but not designed to be put together by midget muscles like mine. Ditto actual strimming 💪Move over Arnie 🤣
Love to all
