Morning all.
GWS, YL xx
Hope the dentist can sort you out, Fayolle (well, your toothache, at least!) xx. Congratulations to your DD on completing her exams - fingers crossed for a good result xx
We had plans to take K and the girls out this afternoon and then to meet up with DD and DGS1+2 tomorrow, so - guess what - DH is ill and I've had to cancel both trips. I think he probably picked up another chest infection whist accompanying me to the horse piddle on Sunday: they're such unhealthy places! I was about to ring for an ambulance at 7.30 this morning when he was becoming somewhat incoherent, but held off for a while. His high temperature has now dropped a little and he is back to talking as much (or little) sense as he usually does, but I suspect that it's going to be only a matter of time before things will go haywire again and he will have to get proper medical care.
J the gardener is due to come this afternoon. I've asked him to bring his long pruner to declutter the new growth at the top of the pyracantha and a new branch (still not much more than a twig) growing below the bird box on the ash tree. The lawn also needs cutting, but thankfully we have sunshine this morning to help dry the grass.
I have a bit of light housework to do and seeds to plant, when I can find the energy to do so. After eating my breakfast, I sorted out 2 shelves of the kitchen cupboard where (among other things) DH stores his medication. I moved one shelf up a notch to accommodate the box of muesli with the cereals on the lower shelf, so that I can reach it without having to climb on a step stool, and that was enough to wear me out for the next hour. I am aware of a whole row of waggy fingers and am taking a break, and Rosie has come for a fuss.
Will be back later. Hope everyone has a good day xxx8 -

Iona, my waggy finger is still wagging - please don’t do too much. I hope DH takes a turn for the better.
Before setting off, I did dust and vacuum upstairs and clean the bathroom, so not too bad an effort. This afternoon, I still ahve the HH paperwork to tackle plus I want to get some plants in the gh sorted. The slugs have been having a sumptuous feast on the plant babies outside, and undoubtedly anything at the allotment.5 -
Glad you have ABs and not just a filling, Fayolle x
I have packed his bags and sent DH off to horse piddle with two delightful female paramedics, who had spent almost an hour trying to sort him out here. He really isn't well, though of course he has been all sweetness and light for them! I will get myself a cuppa and then drive up to join him - unless they get diverted to a different horse piddle. Could be a fun evening (not) of ambulance chasing.
Rosie is of course very upset now. I managed to give her a 20 minute walk before ringing for help for DH, but she will have to stay on her own for a few hours this evening. I don't think DH will be home this side of midnight.
I have dusted and hoovered, and will mop the kitchen floor and pay J the gardener before I go out. He has done a good afternoon's work, and the last of the forget-me-nots have gone, along with the unwanted branches.
And more good news - we have four large baby blackbirds crowded into the nest on the side of the shed6 -
Sending heals for Mr Iona, Fayolle and anyone else in need. I am currenly having an email argument with the receptionist!!!! at the GP surgery.. She thinks I am not alllowed a copy of my blood results and MUST see the GP and MUST take the medication which makes me incredibly ill because SHE knows best.. she is clearly new and has no idea who she is dealing with lol.. oh dear.. I am not making an appointment until I have seen the results to determine whether or not I need to.. the noobs all get hysterical over this.. This feels like one of the ones who give all of them a bad rep.
DW run then someone else has reloaded it and vacuumed in there so I'm not complining.. Moomin has however filled the bin which was emptied yesterday tidying her pit.. I'm not sure where the next 2 weeks of rubbish is going to go!
Still no revised EHCP from the caseworker.. I'd be surprised if this inefficiency was out of character.. I will email and nag in a minute.. She said I would have the revised plan 2 weeks ago.. and here we are.. again...Moomin has done launry, only her own.. but she hung it outside so that was a bonus.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
Evening everyone.Hope you're feeling better YL.Sorry about your tooth Fayolle - at least you know what it is now and can get treatment. Hope your daughter's exams went well.Ionafan, hope your DH is continuing to improve. This morning I met the priest from the church I used to go to and we had a coffee. I'm having the ashes of my friend who died last year interred next week and he is going to say a few words and prayers. We also spoke about a few other things and he told me his smart meter is not working properly and his account went from being £800 in credit to £8K in debit! He is having no luck getting it sorted out so far.Whilst I was out I bought a few things from the shops near where we met and then came home and made lunch. WUPA the lunch and breakfast things and then bleached the kitchen sink and washing up pads. I then did two loads of washing and several of TDing, prepared the things that laundry do as they were coming to collect them and then made tea and WUPA everything. Prepared supper, washed up again and then did a bit of ironing.7

Hi all
Thanks for the GW wishes, hope Mr Iona is doing OK, and I hope the tooth isn't too painful Fayolle. I have felt pretty ropey all day but now have antibiotics so I am hoping that sorts it. I am supposed to be in at the paid stuff tomorrow but we will see. I slept for 2.5 hours this afternoon which might mean that I don't sleep tonight.
Flying has been minimal.
Night all x8 -
Thank you for all the GWS wishes for my DH. He has been admitted to horse piddle and will be kept in for at least one night with IV antibiotics and whatever other meds the Drs consider appropriate. At least he had stopped coughing for a while by the time I came home to see to Rosie, have my tea, and relax a bit with Kirsty and Phil. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
I did manage to mop the kitchen floor before I went out
Sleep well, especially YL x
Enjoy your trip to London, Valli x
Night night everyone xxx8
