I think that sounds like a great idea, Piggers.
Morning all
WM x 1 and now running on a clean cycle with vinegar and soda. DW x 1I’ve lots to do today but must remember meter reads.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Morning all xx
Sorry iona - 👋. I'm very aware that my morning flying is minimal and repetitive and it didn't occur to me that I would be missed.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, completed Wordle and one line of Connections (sadistic setter from Hell today - my brain hurts), eaten breakfast and supped my brew.
Hope all the poorlies are soon fit and well again. Xx
It's Friyayyyyyy. Woot woot. I can smell the weekend....if I stand on my tiptoes, close my eyes, and sniff.
I'm being very professional and supportive at work. To everyone. I'm knackered. Who knew that being nice was soooo tiring 🤣.
Watched the athletics last night. It was raining in Oslo too. More on Sunday. And soon be Olympics. I think I've accidentally booked my week off to coincide with one of the Olympic weeks. I do hope so. And, if so, it truly was pure luck. Not like when I used to accidentally order pizza, and chips, and onion rings 🙃
Made a colleague laugh yesterday when I announced that I have to lose 4 more stones to be overweight! At least I'm now obese and not morbidly obese. But my aim is to be overweight 🤣
Have a good day. Hope it's dry where you are.
Big hugs
Rxx

Hello all. Another cold day here. I walked Poppet in jumper and jacket today. Other than that I've only put dry washing away and done a work shift.
As it's payday I need to sort admin and car insurance.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Afternoon all. I'm sitting here with a fan heater on! It's cold and wet today - the car said it's 14 when I went out an hour ago but it feels colder as it's pretty windy too.A felt very achy and tired yesterday evening after his covid booster but seems ok today. The morning has whizzed by with me achieving very little. I took a bag of recycling down and wrote a card for our elderly friend in Plymouth and took A to the local post office to get some cash and came out having forgotten to post my card so had to queue again - doh!. Brought A back and then tended to some house plants before going out to the shops for a couple of bits. I came back and prepared lunch and am about to make mine. I"m supposed to be vacc'ing everywhere and tidying the bedrooms and the sitting room so I'd best get a move on.10

It's Friday, it's 5 o'clock, and it's a Crackerjack weekend for round! x
Pigpen, an allotment is a great idea for you all, but best to start off with a small one (or half a plot) and add to it if your DH has enough time to keep it in good order. And try not to get one with marestail in it!
DH is improving, and is now on a bright and airy ward with a proper bed. He had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics this morning, so the Dr stopped the transfusion. Despite that, he is likely to be discharged tomorrow, though he may have to go back to Outpatients for a review next week (just not Wednesday please, as I am going to a wedding that day).
I slept for 8 hours last night and an hour this afternoon, but I shall not play Cinderella and stay up past midnight - not by a long way.
The baby blackbirds fledged this morning and the nest is empty. Unfortunately I think one never made it alive out of our garden, as I found feathers, but I'm hoping for the best for the remaining three.
Have a great weekend xxx6 -
Hallooooo everyone xx
Weeeeekeeeennnd woot woot. No dead bodies to hide. No bail money required. I'd call that a win 😊
I'm home, changed into my scruffs, unpacked my lunch bag, and I'm enjoying a coffee. Aaaand relax 😌
Switched my next week off to early July from late July. So not when Olympics is on, but not as long to wait for it. Calendar updated when I arrived home.
How are all the poorlies doing? Updates please.

pigpen said:CoG.. It has been noticed in the treatment of my mother (70) and grandmother (95) the medical profession don't seem overly keen on giving them surgical help even though it will improve their quality of life because they are unimportant, they do not work or bring anything to society. Several years ago my mother severed a tendon in her leg, the consultant said if she was a man or played a sport they would operate and fix it but she would just have to wait. Sometimes the US system is better! I need hip and knee replacements but can't even get an appointment with the GP so that's not happening.. not that I have months to spare being unable to do my usual things anyway.. I can't see anyone else doing school runs and housework!
I brought 8 things off the line and aired them in the dryer.. that is it for todays flying! They seem to vary but this chap seemed to be trying to put A off. He was late 60s I would say, so it wasn't as if he was a youngster and couldn't understand older people.@roundtuit did you ever get to the bottom of your data breach?Today's flying: WUPA breakfast, lunch, tea and supper things. Read the electricity meter and input it online. Tidied the main bedroom and dusted and vacc'd in there, and did a few emails. I need to do some serious flying tomorrow or/and Sunday.8 -

Morning all xx
CoG - not heard anything since 9th May. I asked my manager if she'd heard anything and she agreed that I should have heard something by now and sent an email on my behalf. No response that I know of. This week I contacted ICO via Live Chat and they advised that I have to wait for a month since the last communication I received then I can hand it over to them. I send them my original 'complaint' and all the ensuing emails and they'll investigate. That's why I know that I haven't heard anything since 9th May 😉. I have the email address. I will not be fobbed off. Surely if it was an innocent error it would have been done and dusted by now. It still could be. We'll see.
I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, completed Wordle, managed one line in Connections (stupid game 🤣), and I'm supping my first brew.
1st June and I had the heating on again last night. I expect we'll have a couple of weeks being roasted alive at some point this summer - a gentle heat spread over several months would suit me. 😎
Pops phoned last night and I said I'd go round today for a coffee and a natter.
I've turned all the calendars over to June / 1st June (2 monthly/ 2 daily - and yet I still forget what day it is 🤣).
Brew 2 is required.
Love to all and gws to the poorlies.

ETA. I forgot to tell you. My colleague asked me to write her a poem about the horse she recently had to have put down. So I did. She cried. She gave it to the supervisor to read: she cried. She shared it with a man she knows in the coffee van queue: he cried. She shared it with her friends: they cried. The power of words. If only I could make a living writing poetry......IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme8 -
Morning all.
Round - you could link up with a card maker to do poems for those. Wouldn't make a living but fun to do.
Kaz - thanks for the link.
Admin sorted yesterday, not too shabby a month, and sticking with current car insurance as it was the best quote. I also put WM through a cleaning cycle and put soda crystals down plug holes. Poppet also wanted a second walk, at 8pm! I've started a new book.
Today DH and I are going to mooch around Beverley.
Have a great day everyone.
