    Does switch (closing account )
Only keep Cash ISA ? Open with current bank if  in the name of someone else?  Or is personal savings n ISA excluded from closing
They will only switch and close the current account you give details of. They won't touch any other accounts.

This can occasioanlly cause problems where someone is left with a savings account that can only be accessed by transferring to the linked current account, when the current account is closed.

You could switch your Cash ISA as well, but that's a different process and isn't going to get you any cashback.
If they close only account I give details for , then my second card / account with Halifax will stay open

Would this impact getting nationwide bonus

Oh dear made a hasty bad move.  I applied for the Flex direct account and at the same time arranged to switch.  However checking my credit report I worked it out I did get a bonus on 2021.

However will try to turn this into a positive by using the account and saving element and may then be able to qualify for any additional payments they may  offer to loyal customers.

You may be lucky. I already had a FlexDirect account since early August 2021, and received the £125 switch incentive the following month. I've applied to switch a Chase burner this time round with no great confidence that I'll get the £200. However, from earlier comments either here or on the Fairer Share thread, it seems someone opening and switching into a new Nationwide current account may stand a better chance, even though they received the £125 in 2021, than someone switching into an existing account.

Didn’t really pay attention as daftly thought it was for new accounts.

I’ve got a FlexDirect account. Can I set up a Chase donor account and a couple of direct debits to switch in to my FlexDirect that I have?

Yes, so long as you were an eligible member on the appropriate day.

Has anyone who's had a flex direct before (sole and joint) managed to get the 5% interest rate again on a new flex direct. Previous sole accounts are closed but joint one still open.

    Important:

Have you had a FlexDirect current account before?

If you’ve had a FlexDirect current account before, you won’t receive the 12 month credit interest offer or the interest-free overdraft offer again. However, you will get the offer on a new joint account, as long as you have not shared a FlexDirect account with that person before.

Thanks, I'm aware of the terms, hence asking if anyone has still got the interest in practice or whether they enforce this term. In the same way that people have still got switch bonuses that the terms say they won't get.

I tried this but it doesn’t seem to have worked out for me ☺️ I had a flex direct years ago but when I recently opened one for this incentive, there’s no mention of interest within the app or the internet bank. I put £10 in once it was opened to see if this would generate anything in the app… nothing. 😄

If you only put £10 in you wouldn't get interest as you need to pay in £1,000 to get even 1%.
