PIP assessment - advice

Hi, wow, that is well bad and sorry you went through that. I just like to say thank you again for all your help adding points up as I didn't understand any of the report and I am not very good with maths lol.Muttleythefrog said:
There's always ignorant and jealous people around.... certainly in the past on here I got plenty allegations and abuse when it had general discussion/debate options... ironically often the same people who claimed I was not unwell complained about the symptoms of my illness. I think as a society there is a lot of scepticism and actually the medical profession itself along with disability assessors can be among the worst. Politicians don't help by suggesting they're targeting all these 'benefit cheats'. Ultimately claiming PIP is about evidence and you're well set for a good award.Jack_bauer24 said:
Hi, Ok thank you so much for your advice. Also, this person on another forum (Digital Spy) has really offended me big time, she saying that I am a benefit cheat and I am playing the system with this PIP. I am fuming and angry.Muttleythefrog said:
I always advise claimants be pro-active and get on the front foot with their claims. However... calling PIP at this time is pointless... or as you've found potentially damaging to your health or causing of confusion. A decision will be made in the comings days or more likely weeks... by a decision maker or case officer whatever they decide to call them. You may get a text when decision made.. but ultimately it's a wait for a letter giving the actual decision. I do not anticipate any surprises in your case. This is a time where literally there is no point you doing anything - you've got a report that implies strongly you won't need to waste effort preparing to challenge a decision.Jack_bauer24 said:Hi, just a quick update: I phoned PIP up, I spoken to someone to check if any update, and he said that it's signed off, but it's with a case worker to look at and make a final decision. Now, this has got me worried, are case worker the same thing as a decision maker?
Try to switch focus... find distractions.

I also requested for the mods on Digital Spy forum to close that topic because of one rude person.
I just hope I get the award text very soon to stop my anxieties lol.

Hi, yes, really nice and friendly people on here then the other website. I won't be posting any more advice on anything to do with my health on there anymore. I don't need that stress.born_again said:Jack_bauer24 said:This forum is well better and really nice people.
Nice to hear that as there are many well versed people here 😍
One thing to note is that you may well see the money in your account before you get any confirmation letter on the award. 👍
Thanks for letting me know, regarding money, I just have to be patient now and wait for the award text

Just a quick question, if I do get awarded PIP, will they ring me up to confirm my bank details, or will they just send the backpay payment through? just so I know to keep my phone on loud, as most of the time, I keep my mobile on silent.

From what i can gather they advise you by letter, it sets out your payment per month eg standard or enhanced rate, I believe it also advises you of any back pay. Although sometimes the payment gets made before you receive your letter.Jack_bauer24 said:Just a quick question, if I do get awarded PIP, will they ring me up to confirm my bank details, or will they just send the backpay payment through? just so I know to keep my phone on loud, as most of the time, I keep my mobile on silent.

Thank you Pete, but my question is, do they usually ring first to confirm bank details before sending out payments?peteuk said:

NO - they send you a letter explaining their decision, as noted above sometimes the payment is received before the letter.Jack_bauer24 said:

I didn't know my PIP outcome until I noticed funds in my account; I received snail mail paperwork several weeks after receiving the £'s in my accountborn_again said:Jack_bauer24 said:This forum is well better and really nice people.

I would not expect you to receive any calls related to your claim for the foreseeable future. Text and letter most likely.Jack_bauer24 said:Just a quick question, if I do get awarded PIP, will they ring me up to confirm my bank details, or will they just send the backpay payment through? just so I know to keep my phone on loud, as most of the time, I keep my mobile on silent.

Just a quick question. Even though I got 14 points on both, I didn't supply enough medical evidence. I just supplied a few lncluding my recent 3 month fit note and my medical conditions etc. Could the case manager turn my pip down because I didn't supply enough evidence? this has got me stressed out now.0
