PIP assessment - advice

Unless your condition improves/ deteriorates (and you request a review) or your review date is near then a simple change of address, phone number etc will not trigger a review.
@Jack_bauer24 please don’t start over thinking this again. Dont believe Facebook and the Sun newspaper, you have a review date for your PIP, unless you ask for a review the next review should be around the time of your claim end date. Ideally a few months before however with the current back log, it may be after this date. If that’s the case your PIP will continue to be paid until the DM has reviewed your reassessment.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Hopefully someone will have recent knowledge but last reports I saw around 9 months before end of award. At earliest very late this year but more likely first few months of next year perhaps"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1

In reality. No one can say with any certainty at the moment when you will get the review letter.
So review would be due 21-11-26.
As above pre covid usually did come a few months early.
But it seems they are still catching up for 2020 & all the extensions that caused. So they can/will be delayed. You will get a letter advising that the award has been extended.
At some point after that you should get the review forms (How long is a bit of string) or another extension.
At the moment after review has gone back to them, it is around a year before you get assessed at the moment.
Of course these timescales might come down or go up. Who knows.
Best advice do not worry, it will arrive when it arrives. You get plenty of time to send back & you can get extensions on this.

If it's the same as they did for me, they sent the text to say they would review my PIP before the form arrived.
FWIW mine was 7 months before the award end date. Then they extended my award. 11 months and a giant health crash later I still haven't heard any progress from them about the review.1 -

As I went on to say, they have been extending these since covid. So just when OP will actually get the form is any ones guess.
Yes, you are right that they do come out several months before due date 👍Life in the slow lane0 -

Typically they add a year onto the prognosis suggested when making the award and consider the final year as the review year (which they flag up in the award letter). In normal times they would send out forms for reviewing entitlement at the start of that last year but in recent years they've lagged and so are sending them out later than normal. It does look like around 7 or 8 months recently before the award expiry date.
Due to the assessment delays people have often been getting a year extension to their award while under review but close to the expiry of award - so that there is continuity and ability to get other things continued like blue badge.
Should a decision be made during that extension (or any further ones) it replaces it just like the extension replaces the award the review began regarding.
Unless there's any major shifts then in this case they should expect the review form to come to them around March/April next year."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1 -
