Good morning 😊
Narc0 wishing your mum a speedy recovery & sending hugs to you
Round what can I say? Keep on keeping on. WFH is a godsend in some situations, but a manager needs to be present and actually see 'buts' on seats 🙄 Well done! You deserve a medal!!
Paid stuff today. I'm tired. The kids have been on one this week (not just mine!) I blame the full moon!
DS is on AL for a few days. His GF was due to fly to the USA yesterday, but there was a muck up with the ticketing apparently. She now flies tomorrow. They get a few bonus days together. Although he has a speed awareness course booked for this morning. I will take the children out....
I need to put on the WM & empty the DW.
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. Have a good day all x8 -
Just lost a post
Good to hear that your mum and BiL are both making progress, Narc0 xxxx
Calming vibes for round x
Love and (((hugs))) to all - I'll post my achievements (if any) later xxx7 -
Round... I think sometimes my life goes on inside a circus tent.. no level of selfishness or stupidity is beyond belief any more.

Hello xx
I didn't post this morning as I was too sad. Mrs Bluetit flew across the road as a huge lorry went by, and I've not seen her since. Mr Bluetit came and was looking for her. Then he scrammed as well. I was hoping and hoping that he, or they, would be back when I arrived home. But no activity seen. 😢 I phoned a Wildlife Rescue for advice but no-one answered and I had to go to work. If they'd said bring the nest I'd have done it and been late for work...but I didn't know what to do for the best. Blasted lorries shouldn't be coming through the village anyway.
And I've spoken to P this evening and he's down as his haemoglobin has dropped again. He says what he's got is going to kill him. And the hospitals don't care. When I got off the phone I could have wept. But it would only give me a headache.
I did give sympathy to my colleague who had to have her horse put to sleep. Because she's sad, and I'm not that hard!
I also went upstairs and informed a manager that I was concerned that the supervisor was going to come back and everything was going to be brushed under the carpet, and nothing change. We'll see.
Anyhoo. I got up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, ate breakfast, supped my brew, fed the birds, searched the road for Mrs Bluetit, went to work, brought in the emptied bins, changed into my scruffs. In my lunchbreak I completed Wordle in 3, and failed at Connections- got 2 lines.
One day at a time.
Thank you all for being my friends.
I'm cold. I'm going to put the heating on. And cook my tea.
Love to all

We have acquired some tits in our garden.. and a magpie who is chasing off the pigeons.. he is so mean! The squirrels don't care.. they tell him off.

Today I have
- completed Wordle but only got one line in Connections
- worked in the garden for 45 minutes, mainly pulling up the rampant but past-their-best forget-me-nots
- menu planned for Sunday lunch and written a shopping list
- found a recipe for vegan shortbread biscuits that everyone can eat
- decluttered more ood herbs and spices (some of them ood by 10+ years)
- had my hair cut, brrr!
- taken Rosie for a good walk and then brushed her
- had my new specs adjusted and got new silicone nose pieces
- caught up with some zzz
- felt cold all day, so I've drunk lots of tea and coffee, cooked a very hot meal, and turned up the heating for a couple of hours this evening.
Walking through the Covert with Rosie, I heard a lot of twittering coming from a bluetits' nest box high up on a pine tree, but didn't see the parent birds.
Our blackbirds who hae taken up residence in the front garden got a nasty scare when a magpie tried to get into their nest, but Mr B chased him away, and I'm hoping the occupants didn't come to any harm. Mrs B was out finding food for the youngsters at the time. I hope the magpie doesn't try again.
Have a restful, hopefully stress free, evening xxx8 -
Aww Round that's rubbish, all of it, but just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You are loved here.
Bedtime, feeling flat, will post properly tomorrow.9 -

Morning my lovelies xx
Thank you YL and weenancy 😘😘 Starting the day with your love and hugs is the best tonic. I'm blessed to have all my flylady friends xx
I'm watching a starling doing its darndest to get into the birdbox. I'm not thinking about why it wants to get in there! It can only get its head through the hole no matter how hard it tries. But it's not daft. It's walked all the way round the box to see if there's another way in. There isn't. It's examined the roof - again no entry point. So it's back to doing its darndest to fit through the hole. I looked up to see a starling butt with its legs scrabbling in thin air, the front half through the hole. Not so clever though - if it gets in it may never be able to get out again. It's tenacious I'll give it that. At the weekend I'm going to find a way to take off the roof and bury the contents.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and supped a brew. I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling on my way out.
My pattern arrived yesterday and I've started to knit a pram blanket. So that's four ongoing knitting projects now - first two just need stitching together and buttons on.
DS is flying to Poland today for a stag do. Not his own, that's later in the year. Poland! Why? I'll not rest until he's back on home ground.
Better get my shoes on. TGIF.
Live to all
Rxx
