Waiting for the 10mm circular needles to knit my chicken and the spade I have buoght OH for our wedding anniversary.. next week sometime.. Tuesday maybe... I dunno..

Morning all.  Just finished my first shift.

Thinking of Narco and hugs to anyone else who needs them.

ASB - great that you got rid of the crockery.  Another book recommendation if you haven't already read it. His and Hers by Alice Feeney.

Yesterday, I did most Tuesdailies, some knitting and ironed two items.  Today, I was supposed to be seeing DD between shifts but she's still in a mood so I've booked to get my hair cut instead.  Dailies except dog walk are done because of the rain.

Letter from pension people, asking me to fill in their form to check I am still alive, so they can carry on paying my pension!! form filled in and posted back.

I've watched some very 'conspiracy theory' type vids and one about naughty priests.. which were very interesting.

I loaded the DW

I purchased Twinkle a new raincoat and salopettes to keep her dry.. I do need to find her pink ones for todays school run otherwise she howls all the way home that she is wet.. no one needs that noise!

Next doors gutter has been cleaned out so now I need to sort ours.. they unblocked theirs and the pouring water scared my cats lol

Is it sad that I'm thrilled to put out my full garden waste bin and my full cardboard/plastic bin ready to be emptied tomorrow  - so that I can fill them again. It's the little things in life. 😊

I'm sure there are times when you think that I exaggerate the problems at work. I don't. But I understand why you would think that. Take today for example: of the myriad cockwombles lording over us only one was at work. And she was working from home. She emailed me, AF and AM to say that DH wasn't coming in so would we cover everything between us. AM doesn't work on Wednesdays. I advised thus. It then occurred to me that this left AF and me, and AF leaves at 12.15 on Wednesdays. I advised thus. Email came back to say PB is in today. Hmmm. Not this morning she isn't. AF messages PB: are you coming in this afternoon? NO. I advised thus. And may have pointed out that I couldn't cover both Services on my own. AF was asked to stay til 4. Luckily she agreed to do so. Inebriation and brewery spring to mind. 

In the meantime LG and RA are swapping rooms. RA out of my room. LG in. Chaos for a while. This puts all Band 2s in one room, and the Band 3s in another- with the toxic supervisor who's returning to work next week after being pulled up on a few issues, not liking it, and going off sick. Two of the Band 3s have said they don't want to be in there. The third is on holiday and probably doesn't know what's going on.

In the meantime DH is off because her horse died. Again. Same horse. This is the 4th time it's died. I used up my sympathy the first time. I'm not a hard hearted person, but being left in the lurch time and time again for days at a time, and then being told oh no, the horse is fine now hardened me. I believe this time the horse has died. Which is very sad. But she won't get the sympathy because we're all used up.

If we put in a script it would be returned as too far-fetched 🤣

I'm with piggers - it's cold. Socks back on. 

I'm hungry. Food is required.

Thank you all. M is making progress and I actually saw not 1 but 3 doctors this morning- 1 was the senior consultant of the stroke unit. She was encouraging and expects mum to make further progress.  SIL visited her this afternoon and texted me to say mum had taken a few steps, with a nurse on each side. Mr N and BIL came round to look after me, BIL is a bit sore but doing OK. 
Flying- well I went to Mr T and sent more messages, made more phone calls and lists.

Narco that’s encouraging.  

Work is stupidly mad, they’ve decided to put on an event, on Sunday 2 June, which is fine except that it follows my week off.  There is no way I can do what they’ve asked me to do in the time i’m paid to do it.   Already a post went up asking for support with a typo in the email address.  

Half of me thinks ‘not my circus…’ i was inclined to cancel my week off.  But I haven’t.   They had agreed my week off before making this decision…and if i was in i wouldn’t have time to do what they want.

Sorry for missing yesterdays list.. I did post it but must’ve forgotten to press ‘save’ again.

ETA WM x 1 but it’ll need folding, it’s raining again.  Incidentally my recently-emptied water butt is about three-quarters full.  DW x 1

I’m at home today, but need to go and clean at work at some point.  I think I also need to email about what I can, and cannot do.
