  • Hi I have been sent this letter I have had many letters before Iv counted about 10 letters demanding money
    but this letter is different
I was wondering if it still worth ignoring as people on this forum have advised me to do so
it is from a parking fine issued a few years ago now on a pub car park
I have never communicated with them
so I will attach the letter hoping for some advice please on what to do
    many thanks

Study the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements at the top of the forum

Reply as keeper using the LoC template response

Start preparing for a court claim, same as the hundreds of other similar DCB legal cases on here

The court claim will probably arrive within the next few months

I have asked the administrator to merge this thread with your previous thread, one case, one thread

    Thank you for your response
do you think this will go to court and I will end up paying more
do you think I should pay the 170.00
    now
I’m a bit scared and nervous now
I was told to keep ignoring and make no contact
    thank you

The NEWBIES thread tells you there's no CCJ risk and no huge costs risked either.

Of course you were told to ignore debt demands (a basic stage covered in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread and quite correct).

Your stage is now post 2 of the NEWBIES thread and it's where you win. I don't understand why posters think they should pay £170 to avoid paying nothing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would be re-reading the first two sentences in the first reply you received on this thread.   ;)

I.e. reply to the Letter of Claim using the template response found in the first few paragraphs of the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

    Exactly what we are advising.

I don't get PCNs but I have 3 friends & relatives at your stage right now. All nervous but they happily ignored the £170 threatograms because I told them to, and they are primed and ready to tell me if they get a LBC or court claim (which they know is when the scam ends).

Ok sorry to sound daft but I easily get confused
so should I still ignore everything and wait for another letter
or should I reply to the letter of claim with the template?
    thank you

Which bit of my earlier reply confused you?
