This my first post so hi everyone, and a first time Kybotech customer.

First the good:- Ordering easy and no hitch and the delivery good considering the weather and the snow we had, only one day late and first drop at 8am.

The not so good:- Customer support during construction two telephone calls to customer support for support as plans not corresponding to purchased shed " the man who would know is in the yard he will ring you when he gets back in". Oh no he did not. Next day contact customer support same problem same answer, same result, I think this is a standard reply to any technical questions. Many of the panels have knots in the wood and have fallen out during transit or construction so had to make repairs filling the resulting holes, Many of the panels were warped as main beams were out of shape all repaired by me. All in all pretty bad customer service shoddy workmanship so should you be thinking of purchasing from them you may need to be a reasonable skilled at DIY. As it happened it did not matter to me as I am retired, it was cheap £200 and big 7X7 and was a challenge and kept me out of the wife's hair, but to someone expecting to erect over a weekend no chance. The wife and her friend found that it was highly amusing watching me and a mate trying to put the thing together and scratching our heads. but it up now next test is weather it is weatherproof.:j:beer:
  • I ordered a playhouse from gardenbuildingsdirect which is a kybotech company on 5.3.11. Initially all seemed well and of course payment was swiftly taken from my account. Shortly after I received an email stating that my order was being dispatched to my local hub for delivery. So far so good. However I then received the same email several times a week apart. On each occasion I contacted customer support to make sure the playhouse was on its way - all reassurances given. On the last occasion I even specifically asked if the product existed - of course sir etc.. Just over a month after ordering I had a message left on my answer machine apologising that they had discovered they did not have the product after all - a stock miscount apparently. So I counted 5 claims from kybotech that they had the playhouse which stopped me cancelling my order and they benefitted from a 1 month interest free loan from me for £369. If anyone did that on purpose it would be fraud. If it occurred by mistake it would be incompetence. I have not been compensated.

I ordered a shed last month 16/03/11. Received at least 5 emails saying it has been dispatched. I was also told it was in my regional hub awaiting delivery by courier. Never arrived, phoned to be told it was lost and I would be given a call back. Needless to say this didn't happen. Called again to be told it was never sent as it was taken off the load as load was too heavy and it would be on the next load to Scotland. Never arrived so contacted them again to be told by manager it would be on the next weekly load, never arrived. Phoned today to be told by same manager it was a different type of load that went up to Scotland this week so your shed wasn't on it!!! I was told the financial director of company ( god knows why!)would give me a call back. So whilst waiting for a call back I've noticed in my email that I've been given a refund for my shed!!! Some customer service! Do not touch them with a barge pole. Oh ordered via garden buildings direct and it was a billyoh shed.

not plugging them for any particular reason except I had a shed off them the other day and was impressed, try a company called "Tiger Sheds"

i have had kybotech ones before and they met my expectations ok

these are all dirt cheap garden buildings at the budget end of the market, you are paying for the labour involved to make at the factory, fuel and time to deliver, and 20 per cent VAT, are you surprised that the actual bits of wood you receive are flimsy and barely acceptable quality
    squaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:
  • Fortunately for me I didn't get as far as checking the quality!:j
  • Not happy at all with quality and service from Kybotech

We recently purchased a 20M Rustic BillyOH shed 8x6 wooden shed from Kybotech.

THe quality of the cladding panels is 'wafer thin'
The whole shed feels like a flimsy job.

    The Facts ...

1- we ordered 1 can of evergreen we got 2 cans
2- we ordered 1 padlock and hasp- we got none
3- 1 door missing from order. Delivery man assured us he knew all parts inside out and all were there!
4- you scheduled delivery of missing items for 27 April, we waited all day but no one came.
No emails or phone calls apologising for non arrival. I spoke to Louise, who claimed a card had been left as we were out. A clear lie.

    5 - more seriously we’re nearly sure, we ordered a 30M shed , but got a 20M shed.
Buying the shed as part of a local allotment group has raised a few questions about the price we paid and your current web prices.
Our invoice (see email on 8 april 2011 shows no breakdown of prices, note an incorrect padlock quoted twice).

I have phoned today to get a breakdown and comparison of our invoice and todays web prices.

    current web price our invoice

    20M shed 174.99 229.99
    solid floor 20 40
    evergreen treatment 7.95 7.95
    padlock and hasp 9.95 9.95

    Total price 212.89 287.89

I find it hard to believe your prices have dropped so much in a few weeks
Based on these errors in our order, I am convinced our original payment is also in error.
Can you please explain the difference in prices over the 2 to 3 weeks since our order.
    A refund would be appreciated

    yours ...

Result of this letter to Kybotech ...
Needless to say after days of chasing ( no phone reply) we got the usual crap... sorry but thats the end of it from our point of view.
  • Just wanted to post a further warning about Kybotech. I too have experienced their very poor customer service. Garden bench arrived minus fixings and assembly instructions. One week, and several phone calls later (where i was kept on hold for almost 10 minutes each time) I still await these parts. The personnel I have spoken to have been unhelpful, unsympathetic and unconcerned when informed that I would be writing an adverse online review.

Also don't forget their 0871 ... 'support number' charge at 10p/minute. A win win for Kybotech again. You really have to admire them... NOT:rotfl:
