  • Well, all the bits were indeed there and shed is now up. Though due to a couple of wrong bits in the instructions and me never having put a shed up before, I had to get someone else to come and do it. Took him 1 hour to take apart half my !!!!-up and put the whoe thing together by himself.
Anyway, apart from a small hole in one of the doors which can be easily be filled I am more than happy, from ordering online to the shed being put up. So that's me anyway :)

    Hi everyone.

Wish I had read this thread before ordering, but ordered a shed on the 1st of this month.

2-5 working days delivery stated.. guess what?

Yes I have received a few emails saying they are arranging delivery.

Personally I would not have minded if they had said up to 28 days for delivery, they do if one looks hard enough, but their selling techniques for me seem dishonest at the very least, they still have my shed down as being delivered between 2-5 working days.

Will see how this one runs... early days yet, but one fail already on delivery and false advertising (although they do state in the small print it can be 28 days)

oh and they took my money before shipping the goods.. very very naughty in my book.

will report back every couple of days to update progress and keep this thread bumped, just in case others think Kybotech have changed their ways..

oh another thing.. i tried to speak to a customer services rep online via their website.. all i got was a "hello, how can I help".. i asked why my shed is still being advertised at 2-5 days delivery when they cannot do it" no answer.. left the window open for 30 mins.. no answer whatsoever... so it looks to me like its all cosmetics..

I hate the feeling of being misled, and kybotechs input in this thread is very interesting, the fact that they feel the need to point out that they are not doing anything illegal is very worrying, using loopholes etc to dupe the customers.. there may not be anything illegal about it, but its not on in my book..

so far nil points out of 10 for kybotech.. automated emails every couple of days is not reassuring me and taking the money before dispatch.. is not good business practice and should this company fold.. they have my money.

quick update, delivery this Friday..which is quite good imho 12 days including the weekend,, is not unreasonable, so Kybotech have finally gotten off the ground points wise for me, lets see if delivery does arrive and check quality of goods.. all in all I am not disatisfied, although it would be better if they took the money on dispatch, but there you go.

  • Well the shed has arrived, 9am this morning, so good on kybothech, quality is fairly good if not excellent. So far will give kybotech 6/10, the shed will be going up either this weekend or the weekend after where I will come back and report on how it went.. but so far, am relieved and very pleased.

One thing kybotech could do in regard to their delivery claims of 2-5 days is to say.. "Delivery within 28 days, (usually 2-5 working days)" that would be more honest and I think most people do not want sheds in a hurry although some do LOL.. but so far have to say I am very pleased but few niggles about the company practice of taking your money before despatch.

for those reasons kybothech will never get a 10/10 for me, but provided the shed goes up without a hitch then a 8/10 would be a fair assessment.

Okay the shed is up.. 6 hours.. far too long, very awkward bits that needed putting right.. roof certainly not the best quality, for such a simple job, the instructions ensured that we was confused to high heaven.. and wasted approx 1 - 2 hours of our time..

quality of the materials is good though, but not well crafted to size, assembly was a bit of a nightmare considering we both knew the job should have been 2hours max..

so end of the day.. not awarding any points for the shed itself.. such a simple job made confusing like you wouldn't believe to, shed bits having to have edges sawn off and planing one of the door as it was TOO big..

6/10 is a fair and honest appraisal.

edited to add that DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD IN THE REVIEWS SECTION of Kybotech, I tried to leave a negative review but my fair and honest review has to be passed by a moderator... fair enough but how long does it take? had it been a positive review it would already have been there... so in a nutshell.. stuff kybotech.. pay a few quid extra, locally and not only put your money into the local economy (good thing) but give yourself peace of mind too, Why stress about a company that could very well fold with after taking YOUR money and the craftmanship of the goods, is well dodgy.. would complain to them, but want to wash my hands of the whole sorry affair, my own fault for not researching who it was i was buying from.

Thanks for the honest review lefty. It's refreshing to hear from a horses mouth.

There's only one person to blame for all these problems, and that's the MD, Charles Walton. He's assured us in the past of "new customer service teams and management procedures" only for people to be let down time and time again.

I imagine that Kybotech wait for a number of orders to accumulate before making a batch of the sheds..... and not very well it seems. That probably explains the delay compared to the quoted delivery time of 2 to 5 days.

Charles Walton runs a web consultancy so he is solely responsible for the vague delivery promises on the Kybotech site. He has the nous to optimise bad news and promote good news - you only need to look at Google to see all the guff that has been promoted. The only thread he can't strangle is this MSE one.

Kybotech reviews.. they have not posted my negative review, surprise surprise, makes one wonder if the good reviews are genuine.

2/10 (they lost points for not publishing an honest review) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Is fiddling the reviews on their website legal?

they can put what they want on their own website. try leaving reviews on other consumer sites:

    qype.co.uk
    trustpilot.co.uk
    reviewcentre.com

and others. there are plenty around. :)
