I do like their stuff, Gertrude is what started my brain whirring
Bottomless purse must be coming in the next life time cos I've no sign of it here. Ah well, bicep curls with tins of beans starts tomorrow, moving up to big sacks of tatties, and then cracking on with it ourselves will just have to do ha haa!
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2 -

Bet you like their stuff and get some ideas.
You just need a bottomless purse!I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.3 -

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.4 -

Update time.
Sadly I don't have a pic of the middle slice of the garden before himself dug some foundations. But here's where we were at first thing this morning -And this is the current situation -
(Yes I know there's 3 courses on the bottom of the left hand side, but the garden is on a slope so that was Bob the Builder's solution to even it up.) The top of the wall will be level with the even patio so it'll look right in the end.
Himself is currently trying to get the bladdy big screws out of the wood so it can be cut out for the steps to join up to - where the pallets are in the first 2 pics. They're giving him bother because they were never meant to come out...
Bob is coming back in the morning to finish off :clapping: It's looking well, I'm happyI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.7 -
Looks lovely so far, I see you went for bricks at an angle...Is that going to be a raised bed in between or are you filling in? The bricks are lovely...And you've sent me off into a world of steps now, I've been looking at images for ages this morning so far...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi2

Looks good YBE, I like the slanty brick infillIs there going to be space under the patio for body storage?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

Taff the world of steps is a right wormhole - we'll see you next month ha haa!
Funny you should mention about space under the patio Farway - he straight out asked me if I wanted a pit digging out after he'd heard the latest round from next door. He even suggested flowers to grow on it that would go a bundle on the extra nutrientsHe's a funny bu99er, I like him.
The slanty brick infill was the best way to go apparently, the bricks are that old and crumbly he's having a hell of a job with them. So it's compromises all round but it'll effectively be the same thing in the end. Lovely old bricks and a pretty + unusual wall that is basically the shape I wanted. He doesn't pull his punches when I ask for something unworkable either, which I like. But then he knows what he's talking about cos he is near on 70. As for our steps - I showed him pictures of things I like......he said he'd have a think and see what occurred to him when he sees how many bricks he has left. His first answer was "why don't you just sell up and move to a National Trust property love?"
Edit to put bu99er in.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.7 -
That gave me a laugh, he's spot on isn't he?I have quite a few roof tiles leftover you know....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi2
