Thank you for the lists Natty and Valli.*Healing vibes* for you Fayolle. Glad to hear Mr Piggers is having a good first day in his new job.I've dug out three flasks and bicarb'd them because I can't drink coffee any more and that's all they've done since new, so the mint tea would taste a bit yuk if I don't sort them out properly. I've frozen ice blocks to go in a cool bag for later in the week, finished packing for Wenesday/Thursday, two loads of laundry washed, dried on the line and put away, ordered some more woodshavings for the cats, dealt with two electric toothbrushes that needed a lot of attention, booked lunch for five in September for an 'event', paid a bill online, tried several times to make an appointment to get my hair cut today but despite supposedly being open I don't think it is today, ordered more flea and tick stuff for Wren, and prepped supper.I think that's enough for one day.Except for a request for help if anyone can suggest anything about this. I have/had an Instagram account for following people who make me laugh or just things that make me feel good, like MoMountainMutts. I only ever post positive comments and not many of them, tbh. I've been told I've violated their rules, very unsure how I could have, but despite requesting a text message to my mobile several times over several days I haven't received one. I've checked and re-entered my mobile number and that hasn't made any difference. Can anyone suggest anything else I can do? I can't find this issue anywhere else online.Better is good enough.4

Hope Fayolle and ionafan are feeling better and your covid jab doesn't set you back ionafan.Well done on not blowing up the street piggers - that really made me laugh too.
@kiss_me_now9 I"m hardly a flying expert but on the bath (which was originally enamel but the enamel had become stained below the taps and having it re-enamelled was (a) very expensive and (b) required the removal of the bath, so we had it sprayed with a sort of enamel-type paint which was cheaper and was done in situ in less than a day. The wall above the bath is tiled.I use Flash bathroom spray on the bath - I wet the bath then spray it on and leave it for 5 minutes adn then give it a good old rub everywhere using a retired washing up pad and then rinse it all off using the shower attachment. I leave it to dry naturally except the chrome parts, which I dry and polish with kitchen roll. On the tiles I used to use Method shower cleaner as I liked the smell (passion fruit) but now I generally use Delphis bathroom spray, because it's eco-friendly. I spray some onto a pad of kitchen roll and wipe the tiles thoroughly and then get a dry piece of kitchen roll and polish them so there aren't any smears. I do it section by section (most of the bathroom is tiled) so that it doesn't dry on smeary before I've had a chance to polish it. I think you could use any surface cleaner though, unless it says it's not suitable for the type of surface you are cleaning. I've used all sorts of thing over the years.A felt unwell during the night but seemed ok this morning. The GP had referred him to the hospital about his hip as the x-ray done in Feb showed the osteoarthritis is very bad now. He received letter from the hospital saying if he hadn't heard by today to ring up. He tried to do that but got lost in a series of 'press 1 for x, two for y.......press 45 for z' and got his whatsits in a twist so I did it for him and eventually managed to get to the right section. They said that it hadn't been looked at but, surprisingly, gave him a face-to-face appointment for the end of May. He then felt a bit funny again so had a sleep and felt better after that. His face is less red but still quite dry and flaky.

I have done what I can today: we have 6 jars of delicious marmalade (although I was frustrated by no longer having my big preserving pan - I had to boil it up in the wok, in two half-batches); lunch was peaceful as Rosie was out walking with L; and I got a lot of the admin done. I also mopped the kitchen floor out of necessity, as one of the jars glugged as I turned it over to make the seal on the lid, and I spilt some of the precious liquid gold. It's a good thing I hadn't wasted my time mopping at the weekend!
Jobs carried forward to tomorrow (when DH will be out all day with a social group that we sometimes attend - they are paying a visit to our new Air Ambulance HQ next door to the RAF museum at Cosford):
- 10 min gardening (weather dependant - the wind was too chilly for me today)
- make birthday cards for my two littlest godchildren
- investigate house insurance renewal
- contact energy company re Direct Debit
- Rosie's walk
- anything else I fancy off my long list for the week.
See you all tomorrow xxx8 -
The boiler is fixed 👍 Sink is still stained. It can wait until another day. I know it's clean. It just looks horrible. It is only in the utility room.
Both cat trays cleaned, garden sorted. It was glorious, so I also managed to pot on a few seedlings and sow some sweetcorn, courgettes, pumpkins, squash & cucumbers.
I didn't wipe down the surfaces & hob as DH was cooking. I will do it in the morning.
I relaxed with my knitting this evening - only about 30 rows until the baby blanket is finished 😊
Night night all - sleep tight!9 -

Actual sun today, although windy.
Went to zumba. Spent a lot of time over coffee discussing with the 'girls' (it's a zumba gold class and some are 15yrs older than me!) what we will do as sadly our lovely instructor is leaving.....initially from June as her son starts school and only does half days on a Monday, then in Jan she goes to Dubai. Needless to say, when faced with choices, everyone has a different preference for day/time/location.
Had the planned meeting with manager re the student, luckily Teams mainly worked and since I last used it, it has the facility for not only recording but transcribing the meeting which was useful as I really wanted guidance on what to write. Have just been through transcript and written a bit more of the report.
Did some drum practice.
Did a lot of weed-pulling in the garden. Watered/shuffled things around in the greenhouse.
Cooked dinner. Kitchen fairly clean and tidy.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
ooh … that’s better. No longer knackered. Just popped a further load in the WM to take advantage of the cheap rate leccy and the blazing sun forecast for today. This will inspire me to clean my kitchen and bathroom, so all good.
Did wake earlier so did connections… took about a minute. Clearly getting the hang of it.
